I keep seeing posts to get a good set of VK's to get unarmed xp fast...so I did...and I can't use them! I notice that the cert comes with Tera Kasi Novice...after I bought them of course.....lol

Is there a way around this.....I am a human so I know I don't get the cert at birth.

If the VKs are good enough sliced/unsliced you'll actually hit faster and for more dmg but only if they are good enough

Novice Tera Kasi can use knucklers

Anyone can use VK's, only TK Artists are *certified* to use them. That means if you're not a TKA, you take a big hit to the damage output on them.

You do still get the speed benefits.

So you end up hitting for 10-20% less, but at 200% faster...

Anyone can use knucklers.

- Yes, only novice TKA gets the certification.

- Your +unarmed damage stacks with the reduced damage.

- Knucklers are armor piercing. Against an unarmored target they do the same damage as your fist (+25% bonus; not shown in the combat window). Against a light armor target they do more damage than a fist (-50% vs uncerted 0%)

- Unarmed base speed is 4.0 seconds. The worst made knuckler is 3.5 so you still hit faster. Your +unarmed speed decreases this further.

- Well-made and/or a speed slice makes a significant improvement.

- Looted knucklers have virtually no HAM penalties (think CDEF) and are still faster than being unarmed.
