Over the last few days I have been reading on how people have went through Unarmed IV, and I have noticed a few things that seems to ALWAYS be present when doing this, hopefully I won't miss a few...

1. A pet

2. a droid

3. Knucklers sliced for speed

4. Medic Skills

5. Some other mastered skill already......

What about us few who have mastered nothing....or only have a mount for a pet.....I managed to get ahold of some knucklers from a smuggler who I think felt sorry for me.... I am only trying to reach Smuggler....after that I might continue on with the skill if it picks up, but what do we who have no real pets, or othered mastered skills to do? Killing newbie mobs are driving me crazy, and bleeding something to death that carries any kind of decent xp is a life long job in short.......so that's my question if you can read between the lines of my rambling........

I assume if I could find someone on Flurry who is willing to let me tag along on big missions so I can kill the 'lair' that would help some also.....anyway just posing a question....thanks for readin

The simplest answer to this question i think is friends and grouping. I recently joined another galaxy to play with my brother and decided to start a brawler. My brother is a Master Rifleman on his way to MCH so me and him head out and i get mad EXP. We go to Lok and kill Nym guys or Vesps and with his Mauler taking the dammage i can easily get close to 1k exp for each kill if not more. That simple. Friends and groups and you will have no problem getting the exp.

I'm 20k xp short of Novice TKA so I've already done the xp for Unarmed IV 3 times over (give a take a few). I want to get Teras Kasi Smuggler so I also have pistol skills. I got scout skills as well to harvest meat. My pistol skills recently overtook my unarmed and I have just learnt feign dead and spice I. However

I never used a combat pet (I got a level 2 Kaadu my friend made which I might get trained as mount),

I own a medical R5 droid which I have never used, a friend gave this to me and I don't know what to do with it

I haven't mastered any skills (unless you consider pistols 4 to be pistols mastered),

although I have novice medic (there is no point not to early on - you can use stims) I seldom use the skills as it's too much hassle and I can't be bothered making stims.

I do own Vibro Knucklers as they help against enemies with tough armour and add a little speed - you will find that HAM costs generally force you to remove these when performing specials.

I tend to use bleed shot to speed things up while I fight but I don't wait around for things to bleed to death. I get most of the xp from large hunt groups (6-8) when there is a combat medic with us. This way I can attack all the time and hopefully should get healed quickly. Someone having a pet to distract/tank MOBs is useful as well. I score more xp with my pistol but if I am grouped I can ignore this and get on with my punching. I generally use warcry and 2xunarmed hit in succession to try and keep the MOB delayed for as much of the time as possible. The other option is to use beserk and attack. When in large groups try to get some hits on the lair as this is worth xp. Don't always let a rifleman draw them out get in there and get your xp.

It's a long slog but all the elite professions it leads to are worth the work. Stick with it and good luck

Ok a few things that help.

1: Get your health and action stats buffed by a doctor. With good ones they last for about 2 hours or more. They will make you able to take more damage and with both seconary stats boosted cost of specials are pretty much 0.

2: After getting you health and action buffed try and get a dancer and/or a muscian to buff you mind stats. Dancers can do then mind pool and Muscians do the secondary pools. Not sure but I believe they can be done at one time by both a dancer and a muscian if you watch on and listen to the other.

3: Food buffs can be your friend. the 3 main food I use from time to time. Tatooine Sunburns (1600 or so to both your Stamina and Strength) Which means actions based on Health are reduced (Strength boost) and your action pool regenerates faster (Stamina). Breath of Heaven GIve a 500 point boost to your Focus reducing the cost of specials to the mind pool. And Vercupti of Agazza Boleruuee gives a 300 point boost to your Willpower allowing for your mind pool to regen faster.

4: If your not a Wookiee (like me) use armor. It really does help a lot. Depending on the resources of the server Suits of Ubese can be cheap or expensie and they have good Kenetic resist for the price.

5: If you can get a pet. They are changingit so non-CH's can only have CL10 pets put any can help to distract the target. Also you get more xp while in a group. Even if that group is just you and your pet. If you like gorup with your mount and have it stand by.

6: If you don't already have Novice medic, get it. Use a good set fo stim B's to hel your heal when needed. If you can spare the point try and a a level or 2 of 1st aid. This does a few nice thjings. First any heals you do are increased by an percentage equal to your Injury Treatment bonus. If it's at +25. ANy healing you do is increased by 25%. 1st aid 2 allows you to stop bleeding. Also if you find you don't have the time or skill to make them Stim and Wound packs can be bought. Either from a Medic/Doctor in your guild or on the bezaar or on vendors.

7: Use the specials given to you to your advantage. Intimadate reduces the amount of damage the target does. Warcry stops them from attacking. Blind makes it harder for them to Attack. Stun makes them easier to hit at range or in melee. Use KD and posture changes to stop them from doing damage or to escape if needed.

If you want to doit the fastest, well here it is:

1. Speed sliced VKs and use berserk. You will attack very fast. (5K+1.5-3K= 8K max)

2. Get a rock bettle (5K)

3. Get ANY set of ubese. It does not have to have good resists. It has light armor and will automatically reduced kentic dmg by 50% + the resist against most creature (10-20K).

4. Get in a group that is hunting stuff that does not DB. The best thing I have found is Sharannifs in big groups on Corillia. Sharannifs are the 11K missions. It took me 5-8 hours to get unarmed 4 like this.
