Feral banthas give the most xp for the level of creature they are. They have 1k ham and give about 1500 xp. As you can see they are one of the very few animals that give more xp than they have ham.

Their wild lairs are called "rocky shelters" and spawn all around the krayt graveyard on tatooine. They are aggro, but if you are armored and buffed you can take them easily even at novice brawler. The wild lairs spawn up to 40 banthas and at 1500 xp a piece plus the 3k you get from destroying the lair you are looking at about 62k xp per lair.

Thats 62k easy xp. Killing feral banthas is probably the easiest and quickest way to go from novice brawler to any novice melee profession.
