Thread: Master Brawler, with my temp do I need it?

I"m TKM, fixing to be master fencer. Do I really need Master Brawler? everyone talks about lunge2 being so great to kd. well with tkm unarmed kd 2 I can knock pretty much anything I want down. dizzy first then kd and they don't get up for awhile. so I'm just curious, how much master brawler could benefit me?

I know this question has been asked a billion times (just now seen those lol) but I really see no advantage to master brawler, that I don't have with tkm already, and more so with tkm.

because you have to switch weapon (delay) to KD with TK, and your CoB is lower while you fight unarmed, plus no more dodging.


and master brawler as so many other yummy goodies

it takes me a split second to switch weapons, plus I get plenty of dodge with fencer.

It takes you 3 seconds to switch weapons during a fight now with the new weapon switching delay. Plus, with master brawler you get what is probably one of the best skills in the game.......intimidate 2! This alone is worth it in my opinion. Plus you get CoB bonuses that will help your fencer. The knockdown is also a 20m knockdown which is good for kiters. Your knockdown in TKA is only 5m? I never use the knockdowns from TKA, I always use unarmed lunge 2 to knockdown, the extra range is nice. Plus warcry 2 can be beneficial if you know how to use it right. All in all, if you want to be 100% dedicated to melee combat, then I can't see not having master brawler in your template. There are ,also,various other skills in the master brawler box that are nice, but not as important.

cool, thanks. Im not sure on the range of my kd for tkm, all I know is that when brawlers, fencers, whatever can't knock something down, even with the additional range they have, I get right on top of whatever it is and knock em flat. the cob bonus definetly sounds good though. Intimidate 2? shoot, I never used the first one lol. perhaps I should. But it sounds like all in all it would add a few extra's to both tkm and fencer. Thanks

Hi mate im currently recovering from rifleman (I hate guns) and I am remastering brawler, with my template it is awsome everything that was said before is true you also get +5 speed fencer alrdy capped but not bad and +5 accuracy. Also intim2 is awsome in pve and especially pvp and tbh fencer is twice the profession with master brawler, im babbling now i like it sooo much it is also very underated ahh there i go again

Never used intimidate??? Man you don't know what you're missing!!!


It halves the damage given to you, plus makes it so they can dodge/counterattack/block....some people even think it increases the chance to land state effects on the target. Once you start taking on truly tough critters, or once you start PvPing, intimidate is a must if you want to win. Try it, you might like, and then you'll wonder how you ever did without it. Intimidate2 generally lasts most of a fight for me, unlike intimidate1 which only lasts 10 seconds. Having intimidate2 is HUGE!!

yeah i dread being hit by a uakd2. but... if your in fencer mode its nice to have lunge 2 so you dont have to weapon delay over to the vk (if your using the vk. not sure about going to strait unarmed with no vk and the delays) and then back to the fencer weapons with that delay. im fencer brawler and sword. its nice to have a version of kd aka lunge 2 with both weapon systems. personally i like using the area hit 3 of swords but i dont like the slight chance it has of putting people on a knee. i would rather know i put something on their back. especially if im working pvp with another melee who might not have master brawler and you work them out of their range, plop them down then come in for a big time hit

coolness. I've talked to a few ppl about it and I think i'm doing master brawler. as far as int 2 I am def going to try it. i've never needed it however. I just knock the night sister' s acklay's whatever flat on their ass and use ua hit 3 untill tender. which has worked extremely well. not dissappointed in tkm or fencer at all. but if int 2 helps, I'm all about it.

Master Brawler gives you +20 to intimidate skill which definately helps you land your intimidates
