If you have good armor, like 60% kinetic at least, and can afford buffs.

With crafting missions in Tyrena to Vreni island paying 1400 a pop, and a 5 minutes shuttle ride, there is nobody in the game that can't afford Ubeese and buffs to get started if they want.

Ubese and Quenkers on Dantooine like the above posters have stated. Try to stay away from the Savage ones for now as they have a ranged attack.

I levelled up using a speed-sliced VK, with buffs and composite armour on Tat wacking Ronto's, Greater Womp Rats,Bantha and dewbacks
Try and get into a good sized groups so you can get decent missions, or just wander around Bestine wacking everything you find!

I thought you didn't get the VK cert until novice TK? Is fighting with an uncerted VK still better than fighting plain old UA??

speed sliced vk (1.8 speed or lower) + use melee speed powerups all the time.. my 1.8speed vk got down to 1.5 speed , using a powerup
that should speed things up

if you can get someone to help you out, if you are just starting, get some rakririan burnout sauce (it add to unarmed dmg) and some citros snowcake(accuracy)
i got unarmed 1 - novice tka in one buff set using these and killing spineflaps on naboo

wrong, talasa. the damage bonus from the vk doesn't apply. the speed does, so it's better to use, of course. just want to make sure the original poster knows why.
having said that, I used a speed sliced vk with a motor I looted that brings the speed down to 2.0 instead of 2.2 like the standard. then I got a speed slice, use speed powerups and rakirian burnout sauce, which brings up your damage. using berserk on quenkers works well, but avoid the savage quenkers, as someone else said. they'll spit right through your ubese.
once you get novice tk, I like to level on crazed gurrecks on endor. they provide tons of xp, drop quick and don't db you if you fall. at least, I've never been db'ed by one. also, you don't need a group to pull the missions. baz nitches are some of the best xp in the game, but they do db and don't drop as quick. however, you don't need a group to pull those missions, either, and they payout 11k per. another good bet for leveling tk is tuskens, but the fort is pretty camped, so you'd have to fight off riflemen, jedi, swordsman, etc...ain't gonna happen. good luck, man!
