I have been playing with the new weapon im authorized to use but everytime i use it it hurt ME more then my enemy. whats going on here?

If you're doing pikesthat is completely normal, I don't really know for swords but I seem to remember that being less of a problem. Just get novice medic and a ton of stims until you have the money to pay for buffs.

It is HAM costs, some professions have steep HAM costs. 
With buffs, brandy and canape/ahisra, the costs for specials can go away completely.
