Which one is better nowadays ive heard that swords is best at PvE and TKM is good at PvE and PvP but which is the all around best proff, and will eithre proff be affected by pub 10??

swordsman is best PvE'r
TK is best melee for damage in PvP, while Fencer is best at not getting hit in PvP
all combat professions will be affected by the combat revamp, i'm not sure about publish 10 though
in combat revamp, all damage mitigations will disapprear, so that should affect something

Ya, I think you pretty much said it all. One thing though, if you have a good acklay stun baton, that would probably be a good weapon if TK isn't working.

It really just depends on what you want to do.
Swordsman is the King of PvE. They can solo anything except for two creatures, and thats only because the resists are 100% kinetic and 100% blast. They are decent in PvP, and with a bit of defense stacking from fencer and tka it is really good if you know what uou are doing.
TKA is good for lower to mid range PvE. They can't solo elders or krayts, but they are pretty good alone in PvP. But if you want to solo the big stuff you need to be swordsman.

I say TK is best all around, they are quick in PvP, not too shabby in PvE, and having a KD is always fun.

If you're speed capped, swordsman is the best all around profession I would say. Just master fencer too and you got your defences, with pretty good defences and massive damage coming in every second and to the mind pool what else would you want?

Swordsman beat TK in PvE, but a TK can beat a Swordsman most of the time I think.

if u have the cash to cap swords speed u out dam tkms by about 4 times in pvp with a good acklay hammer.

Too bad that will never happen to me.
I can't even afford a +1 to 2-hand melee speed because I only have 1.6 million credts.
