For a brawler/fencer/swordsman/tka, is wookie the best choice for HP's and overall melee damage? ALso, what does the wookie roar do? Thanks.

i wouldn't say it is the best choice (mostly because it depends on so many factors), but it is still a good choice... add into the mix that you get to play a wookiee, and how can you resist?

as for wookiee roar:

/wookieeroar is a conical intimidation (unsure on the duration of the effect, but it is most likely on par with /intimidate1)... it can only be used once every 5 minutes... and it provides a small mind buff, usually only +20(i believe this is tied in with the number of opponents you successfully "roar"- i've had the bonus be as high as +80)...also, it seems to work outside of the combat queue, activating immediately...

it does seem to stick with more regularity than /intimidate1 (at the novice brawler level), but after you get bonuses to intimidate through clothing or master brawler that may change... one thing you might want to do is create a macro for /wookieeroar, i've had trouble with the premade "button" not working correctly after long periods of playing...

good luck..

The way buffs are now, Human's are still probably the "best" since they have so much freedom to migrate their stats. But all races can be good brawlers, and wookies certainly would be a good choice for brawler. Don't choose a race because it's the best, choose a race by what you want to look at. If you're happy with your looks, then the right equipment and buffs will even out the rest.

When I first started the game long long ago, I wanted to bea Wookiee TKM. Well, after several failed attempts to get started, usually resulting in a dirt nap, I gave up on Brawler, and went for a ranged template.

With the release of the new Wookie armor, I've managed to Master Fencer and am working on Pike and TKM right now. I can take out a bolle bol lair unbuffed using Fencer skills, and with a set of buffs and my good armor, can take out a Fambaa lair at Novice Pikeman, something I would never have even attempted before armor.

So yeah, Wookiee Brawlers are a good thing now

No. Trando for melee. Wookiee for... um...

Anyway, the Wookiee Roar is a cone area of effect intimidate that is pretty powerful.

Honestly, I am a Wookiee and I have been all of the things you mentioned. One good thing about a Swordsman Wookiee is if you ever want to fight unbuffed, we have great strength.

three wookiee armors:

kashyyykian ceremonial armor - first armor released

kashyyykian black mountain armor

kashyyykian hunting armor - armor with horns

both of the last two came out with the same publish, but hunting armor seems to be the most prevalent... it is more similar to composite than the rest, and has the most resists...

In my experience so far, Black Mountain armor has high ham costs that aren't far from Hunting Armor, yet have resists that aren't far from Ceremonial armor. You basically get the worst of both worlds with it. Ceremonial has some pretty good HAM costs for what it does, and if you are going to have to get buffed to wear armor, you might as well go for the high resists in Hunting armor.

I had to beg my armorsmith to make me some Black Mountain just because I wanted to look different than everyone else. I soon learned why he didn't want to make it. With some good slices, you might have a decent set of armor, but meh.

It is alsopretty expensive.
