What are the pros of being a Master Brawler. Are there any things like defense modifiers that you get? And what do the special attacks and abilites do? Is there anything about Master Brawler that makes it stick out as good?

Master Brawler is one of the most dangerous professions there is. The Warcry2 gives a 20 delay to the opponent, the lunge gives a huge reach advantage and can lower posture from I think (not for sure though) 20 ft, and what I think is the most devastating effect is the Intimidate2. That just takes loads off the opponents attack. Plus the speed boosts are nice to have. If you combine with the proper class you will be a machine. Personally my favorite toon is my Master Brawler/Master TKA/Master Fencer (with a little scouting and medic in there too). She is pretty good. Anyhoo, to sum up, Master Brawler kicks A.

Just to add, intimidate is the path to hitting other slippery melee templates like fencer stackers. Intimidated opponents do not dodge/counter/block. Intimidate 2 sticks for a much greater duration than Intimidate 1, and seconds spent swinging instead of trying to intimidate, add up in terms of damage.

Intimdate2 (lasts longer for pve) Warcy2 (great for healing while tanking high end mobs) Longer COB, Better acc and Speed. (cheaper than buying tapes) Lunge2 works great in pvp and pve.

+5 speed. for TKA, not a big deal. for swordsman? huge.
+5 toughness. what would YOU pay for another 5% reductions in damage? stacks with armor, food, and buffs.
+ accuracy. negligible, but still... saves an SEA (or several), and plenty of creds.
certs for all basic melee weapons... including DOT lances.
+20 intim. and intim2. either you KNOW why this is good, or you don't use it.
+20 taunt. it's PvE, but it makes you a valuable raid-member, as well as a friend to noobs who need an effective tank for all aspects of melee.
+20 berserk. there ARE times when berserk is a handy addition, even with the long duration and no-added-effectiveness of berserk2 (think 'unarmored/unbuffed').
lunge2. for swordsman and fencer, which have no innate HARD KD's, and as a 20m counter to ranged attackers, it's a huge boon.
master brawler isn't essential... but for any melee combatant I have (and I'm pushing 4 toons now with melee, and one with master rifle), I've mastered brawler, and won't change it. master rifle/brawler? seems silly, until you've done it. compare it to master marksman/rifle, and pick a winner. hint: brawler/ranged beats marksman/ranged.
