Hey everyone, a lot of you know me from Gorath forum, and by the stickied threads I have on here. Those who know of my posts, know I always try to post informative and helpful information on this forum. I don't just blindly guess or something either, I test skills and specials and such to get at least a logical conclusion, I've always admitted this could easily be false and mere coincidence but when you do repeated tests...that would be unlikely.
Anyway, I decided today to stop posting anything on here to try and be helpful. Ever since MasterOfCombat resigned from brawler corr. I have watched the decay of this board from a productive movement to balance and make brawler fun, into nothing more than a placeholder forum.
MasterOfCombat was on here constantly with new ideas, asking our opinions, doing tests and working. Those who weren't around for him missed a good leader.
Mapai, you are not.
Since you have been the corr. you have only posted a couple "top 5" threads and have done nothing to stimulate ideas. I even posted a thread discussing berserk and you didn't really give much of an effort to help out. This is clearly our most "broken" special in the fact that its flat out worthless to anyone outside of novice brawler...once you get any other special, its worthless basically. (unarmed being the possible exception).
You quoted as saying you check these boards daily awhile back...i rarely see you post anything other than the occasional reply to a totally easy question like "what's my title at 1h swords 4?!"
Then came the ultimate slap in the face. I took pride in helping on here and providing info and possibly helping to move our class to where it needs to be. The sandbox testing came up.
Each corr was to pick 5 people to help test new information...now folks, i'm not a cocky person...but one of the MAJOR criteria for these 5 was supposed to be how well they would provide forum feedback....look above at the stickied threads, that i imagine is EXACTLY what they want from testers. I don't post every day on here because there's not that much to talk about, but post count shouldn't matter if you are active and post good sound reports.
Of 5 possible people, i was not selected for any slots. I feel this is a total slap in the face.
Now look before anyone goes and thinks "oh man, what a jerk mocking Mapai like this in public"
Well folks I sent him 2 pm's and posted (you can flip back and look) saying "mapai..please respond to your PM...i don't want to say this in public if I can avoid it" or something like that.
I don't want to hear he's too busy to respond to a PM for 4 weeks now...he does NOTHING on here. He's shown me nothing that makes him worthy of his position, he'll probably just have this thread deleted rather than face up to a challenge but who knows.
Mapai, there are people who are willing to work at things like this, and when you slap them in the face so you can (i only assume) pick 5 buddies to test for you, that's crap and complete disrespect for the work others do.
So in conclusion, I will not be attempting to help Mapai any longer by actually being productive....if anyone wants a good look at his horrible blunders...flip back through and look back when we had the question of the week or whatever....he would ignore our requests saying he didn't get them in time, and ask his own question. EVen though there were SEVERAL posts saying "This is a horrid question, we don't want this"
He has a clearly personal agenda, he is not the one I want at the helm, and I refuse to follow him any longer.
I probably won't get a good response from this, its ok I understand, lots of folks come to profession forums for quick help and don't care enough to notice things like this, so I'm sure i look like an arrogant jerk that is crying cause he didn't get picked, but do your research and you'll see I'm correct....I talk to other forum regulars, and they know Mapai is a joke of a correspondant.

When I first found out about the sandbox, you where the first person I pmed. I later found out that your acct was banned, by this as you say is your "new"acct. I had wondered before that time why my pms went unanswered. I assumed you had left the game at that point. I later find out that you had your acct banned, something I would think not to take lightly. While you have written a few awsome guildes for this forum and for that, I will say thank you. You have a problem following the simple rules laid out from the forum moderators. I then did a search of posts from your new name and most of what I read was either trolling or uninformational threads. I had already promised my 5 choices to chars that had pmed me. ( I did hand pick a few that I know can really break the CB, my goal is to find the broken parts)
I check this forum 3 times a day, and I was part of the Correspondent summit and gave information and received a TON of information that I am NOT ALLOWED to discuss, as much as I wish I could. I am constantly debating topics that concern brawler, or the elites that stem from it on the Correspondent forums, that you do not see. I have many concerns to this and many things you say I choose do nothing, is really that things are changing in the background and I am working to make sure the brawler player's possible concerns are heard. I can not wait till the CB documents are public and I can get more feedback so that I may push those issues that the majority here wants.
The truth is you make yourself look foolish with this thred and the other one you posted on tiggs, about grinding unarmed not a issue. (more threads on this forum about how to grind unarmed than any other topic, but you see no problem) Brawler proffesion is more than just your oppinion and it is more than my oppinion, I will continue to work towards what the majority wants and where I read the majority of posters and in game people that I talk to, say are concerns of theirs. ( yes I actually talk to players everyday in game aboutbrawler issues, and do this free of charge, I am not a soeemployee and receive no paycheckfor this)
So the real question, is why would I choose someone into the sandbox that can not control themselves enough on the forums without getting banned? That and the fact that I had already made my picks after I found out you where banned and had a new acct is why I did not choose you. Then you ask me to trust you with information that would need to stay confidential while testing is under way?
The majority of issues here are from newer players, as they move on toward their elites, and I will continue to answer those posts, no matter how trivial you may see them.
This is my one and only post on this, and good luck to you in your other forums.

BTW if anyone else reads this. I was given so much information, but am told I am not allowed to share this information, many things change from how they are now. So if I don't jump all over something, there is a good chance that it is changing already, and either the change is how you want, or I am debating for your wishes as a whole on the Corr boards.

so you couldn't have responded to my PM asking why this happened, instead of taking weeks and making me go "this is the only way to get him to wake up"
?
I goof off on Gorath forums, its galaxy forum, anyone who reads them knows everyone goofs off....do a bit more research i got heated when a loved post i made (parody songs based on swg) was reported massively by a couple guilds that dislike me and got me temp banned, then i got real mad, and got banned again....then went for a long time with no problems. Then those guilds started their stuff again...calling people in RL that were poor "losers and trash" and such, i defended these people and got banned (as well as the people who mad ethe comments)
SO yes, i'm such a bad influence I know...
Yes I know you can't reveal info about the new stuff. I don't think the questions are trivial that new players ask, i just thought it was the only ones you took the time to answer because they were such fast answers.
Bottom line, if this is true that was the first you tried to reach...how come you blatantly ignored my polite PM about why i wasn't chosen and how i felt wronged...you ignored me...
Have I ever flamed/trolled/committed any bannable offense on a forum other than Gorath? No...there is much bias...
Look at Gorath forum right now, any server forum...you'll find 800 posts that are "bannable" everyday...but no one cares...i got picked out because a stupid guild decided to use that for revenge for beating them in game at combat.
Regardless, this entire thing could have been avoided had you simply not ignored me, i even posted on the forums saying "please...check your PM....mapai i don't want to do this in public"
if you check that often was i not even worth a reply?

Personally I like the way these forums are ran. I think he (or she) is doing a good job.

try reading it, or anything else before you try and be a smartass...that's exactly how server forums are used
the prof forums and such are for info, the others are for goofing off

Once a troll, always a troll. You should be honored that your post was even responded to; it certainly wasn't worth responding to. Please go back to your galaxy forum and troll and goof off if that's what you thinkit's for. I can't imagine that is the consensus on Gorath though.
