Ok so your new to the game have yourselfs alot of questions.. Want to dive into the Brawler profession... See what that's all about...

Well Brawler is a rather fun profession to try.

When I first started playing this game I didn't try Brawler for agood 2 months. I was Ranged fighter all the way... I was afraid to get anywhere near the animals and whatnot. I mean they would maul me everytime I got near one. And to pick a profession that had you stand right up next to them to fight!! Well It finally sunk in I'd fair better as a brawler with there close range fighting bonuses and whatnot.. Plus most animals would charge me sooner or later anyways..

Basic Supplies...

Ok this items are a very good ideal to carry around with you while you explore the galaxy, and your Brawler profession...

1) Vasarian Brandy, A wonderfull drink that increases your mind stat for almost an hour... Trust me this will save you butt many a time having that extra boost to the mind pool.. See Motto section...

2) Stim B's, Combine with brandy and some decent healing skills you can keep on your feet in a fight for alot longer.. See ImportantSkills section..

3) Ubese Armor, Ok this is a rather expensive piece of gear for a new player to get. But its uselly alot cheaper then the better Comp Armor.. And you uselly don't need to get a Doctor to buff you to wear like you need to with Comp armor. Its best for hunting low to mid level animals. Most do kenetic damage witch Ubese protect very well against..

4) A ride, Yes very walking can be fun but riding gets you there faster.. You could talk to a Master Artisan about getting a bike, or landspeeder.. There not cheap... Or the cheaper route is to buy a mountable pet off a Creature Handler... Downside you have to feed the ride.. And it can take upto 5 days for that babie to grow to a size that makes it mountable..

Important Skills...

Ok there are afew skills that I've always felt important to have right away... You don't have to get them but they make your game life much easyer..

Novice Scout, Explore 2, This gives you the Maskscent skill.. Maskscent lets you hide from alot of animals in the wild. The higher the skill the better... Note this wont help hide you from NPC's.. Also the Explore skill line lets you move faster over land and up hills...

Novice Medic,First Aid Skills, Depending what kind of skill points you have to put into the Medic profession.. You can't go wrong with at least some ablilty to heal yourself. Witch you wont be able to do without at least Novice Medic. I suggest Stim B's to heal yourself, Stim A's are rather weak healers.

Novice Medic, Medical Knowlage 3, Also another good skill to get if you have the skill points for it. This alows you to use the more powerfull Stim C's to heal with.

My motto's for hunting...

1) Never Fight Sober.... (Remeber Vasarian Brandy)

2) Aim for the B*LLS... (I just like to keep fighting at all cost)

3) Better to die then to run... (Also hate running away when I am outmatched)

Ok this was a quick simple guide for anyone whos new to Brawler and or this game... Sorry to all the vet players.. I know this is probly a 1,000,000 post like this you've seen.. But again this for anyone new to the game

I'm pretty sure you don't need to feed your pet if you're not a CH. I have pets/mounts on several servers, and they all grew up to level 10 without any help from me (I'm not a CH). In fact, when I tried to feed them, I was always told it wasn't hungry.

You don't have to feed them in general, but you do have to feed them if they get Health and Action wounds. If they gain mind wounds they need need to do a trick to heal that. Standard damage can be repaired with medical stims or Pet Stims.

*edit* Most new players won't be able to afford brandy, it aint cheap, not on Farstar anyway . Ubese armour varies in price, but a good set may set you back 50k+. I'd avoid armour at the beginning unless you get some decent Ubese as bone armour is rubbish.

Lol, I gave away a suit of Ubese to a noob lastnight. I decided that I didn't like the color of the armor after all
