Thread: Wookie Unarmed Brawler needing help.

I am a wookie brawler who currently has Unarmed III and is working on IV, I have 210k but I'm thinking of buying the AWESOME wookie armor chest piece tommorow which is 70 base 80 kin, however the armor cost 187k so I wont be able to buy buffs to help me ascend thru the unarmed tree to get to TKA Novice. What do you guys think I should do? Buy the armor? or save my money for buffs

depends on how much money costs for buffs on your galaxy, you could buy the armor, and have enough for 1 set of buffs, by the time you do 2 quenker missions you should have roughly enough to get another set of buffs.

save your self some cash and find cheaper armour , you should be able to get a full set for that price with same stats.(on eclipse anyways).

190K for a wook chestplate? That's a little...harsh.
Save your cash, grind out some more missions.
As an aside, PM me what server you are on, as I might be able to help with that armor-issue. I some leftover crates of the stuff laying around

buy the armor and if you can a tank likea probot to help thru. i did Unarmed in a few hours with a tank.

Do a few more missions so you can buy a set off buffs and the armor. Then you can run a few missions with buffs and armor and save up for your next buffs and so on.

I agree with the poster that said get less expensive armor...I too am a wookiee and recently (i.e. in less than 2 weeks) mastered the brawler and TK professions, and am 3/4 through with Pikeman. For most of this, I've used apx 50% kinetic armor (only resistance that really matters for MOST PvE) and never died on a mission terminal mission...sure, I died when I bit off more than I could chew at the nightsister fortress, but on huurtons (Dantooine)...which, btw, are the easiest way to grind any brawler proff. imo (with buffs)...50% kinetic PLUS buffs is ALL YOU NEED.
Save your money, if you're that tight, get some lower resist kinetic armor (even ceremonial armor can be great for the xp grind), and spend money on buffs...atm, buffs are better than armor (if you can only coose one or the other)...so go with the buffs...I've even done a ton of xp'ing with sets of 35% kinetic ceremonial armor I got off the bazaar for 6k a piece (24k whole suit) (on Lowca btw)

I aggree with the above i am a whookie and did most of my pike mastering before we had ANY armor and it sucked..drove me to master only proffesions that would build me a great defensive template. Bottom line is that:
Buffed you can take on alot more missions and animals and make more money

If you are unbuffed and have all your armor on...also consider that the armor drains you faster because of its encumberance.
