Thread: Defence vs intimidate is broken..it have no effect vs players...and warcry is still bugged

have 90 defence vs intimidate and a master brawler hits everytime with intimidate

Also warcry is still bugged...it dosent always break when other ppl attack you, so 1 person can warcry and 10 others can beat you up in 20 seconds where you cant do anything

These are serious issues, especially the warcry - is anything being done about this?

Same here. I also have warcry break in pvp. Do you have a exact way to duplicate it? I have a jedi knight also, and have fought master brawlers and they do not always land intimidate the first try and I have seen warcy break.

Both issues are well know.....intimidate dosent hit every time thats true but the skillmod defence vs intimidate have no effect what so ever.


And about warcry...you say youve seen it break...ofcource but it dosent also break....BUG.


Once again both issues are well known by players so please as a Brawler correspondent, do somthing about it

Best def vs intim is doc heal state I'm afraid or jedi heal state. I know it might take sometime to intim, but I have seen this happen to people with 0 def vs intim and others with high def vs intim.

Usually warcry breaks for me when a DOT ticks but not when taking damage.


What makes warcry break though, is if you are already warcried and someone tries to warcry you again.

Defence vs intim doesnt work. Warcry will only break if you are attacked by the player that applies the warcry during the duration of the pause.

No. Well, at least not under some conditions. Like last night. I fought a BH. I get KDed, warcried and beat on. During the duration of the warcry I can't heal/cure states. I got the feeling bleeds break it though, as when I fought other BHs a few days ago, warcry kept breaking rather frequently and I remember having a bleed on me that time.


I know this info is too vague to seriously debug this, but it's a very serious problem that has a tremendous impact on PvP right now.

Intimidate is WAY too good in PVP, I'm a Jedi knight and I just had another bad experience with someone spamming /intimidate on me, he also had stacked dizzy defense (didnt dizzy him over like 30+ minutes!!), knockdown food (scored maybe three or four knockdowns in the whole fight).


I spent basicly the ENTIRE time clearing states over and over.. I havea +25 defense vs intimidtate skill attachment in my gloves and +22 defense vs initimidate food which I got to try out for the first time. While I beleive it DOES have a little effect on resisting it, the BH can spam it over and over once per second infefinately until it hits, usually in 3 or 4 tries. (clear states is 4 second delay so by the time ive cleared it im on the cooldown when he hits me with another).


I've dealt with other people using the same tactics before, but this BH also had a looted nightsister lance that was doing 800 damage per second to me THROUGH synthsteak.


Its bloody agravating, very unbalancing as a novice skill.


My ideas to fixing..

1) Increase the delay between using it significantly

2) Make it a master brawler skill (dump intimidate 1 completely)

3) Give people who got defense vs it a hell of a lot bigger chance at resisting it

4) Give it the same rules like knockdown, you cannot intimidate a target again for like 30 seconds or however long it lasts. (This of course will only make a difference to Jedi or Doctors who can clear it)

6) Dont let it work in pvp at all! Well, I suppose intimidate 2 could.


This is more serious than most people would be willing to admit, but I think it might kick up a bit of a stink on the Jedi forum, if there hasnt already been posts about it before..

Ohh, Forgot to add.. My damage goes from 200 or 300ish to 40ish when intimidated..

Intimidate doesn't only kill your damage output, it also reduces all your defensive skills. Even with Thakitillo I get KDed a lot while intimidated.


That it can be spammed with impunity is just one of many broken aspects of the game. I hope that in the CB, intimidate will come with a HUGE cost on your new HAM-action pools. That's rather likely in fact, since the devs already put a very huge cost on the jedi force intimidate skills.


Right now a timer on intim. feels like a hack. What we need is the CB, the one that we should have gotten early this year.
