then i guess what need to be fixed is the toughness issue also. and since blocks takes damage, either make Pikeman's CoB more effective or make it use less HAM.

A lot of things need to be fixed. I'm afraid the devs think block is "working as intended," as is our accuracy, etc. /sigh

I still don't get the whole COB concept. When do I use it most effectively and what does it do? I only notice for a few seconds, my HAM drops.

What is this about, I can't tell any difference in my ability to avoid attacks when I have this initiated.
Does this skill actually do anything in combat?

"This command will cause your character to focus on avoiding combat blows. This will only apply when you are wielding a melee weapon."If our BLOCK had not been bugged, this skill would make you block like nothing you've seen before. Ever gone up against a fencer? You will see them dodging like there is no tomorrow when under the influence of CoB. It is on a duration timer which you can increase by mastering brawler and the corresponding elite melee profession.

What mod's/bonuses does center of being actually give you? Does anyone know?

Duration and effectiveness improve as you get bonuses to center of being. Not sure by how much, but at master TKA CoB helps quite a bit.

It increases your chance to block/dodge/counterattack, depending on which profession you are. The efficacy is the effectiveness of it and it lasts for the duration value. At brawler levels it is not worth the expense of mind, but as you get higher in the elite levels it will become invaluable.

It's not as good as it could be, as state effects take effect through second-chance defenses such as dodge/counterattack/block, a bleed is dodge, but you're still going to bleed. I'd rather have CoB effect range/melee defenses.
That said, as a master fencer it's very helpful.

It's Supposed to let you dodge more or something like that, but like most skill mods in this game, it rarely makes a diff...
