Pointless?! Are you insane? It's not as good as fencer COB and it will reduce damage by quit a bit. Try it and fight with and without COB running and see the change.

I use a macro named CoB

/clearCombatQueue;
/CenterofBalance;
/pause 31;
/macro CoB;



and on the question of CoB being useless, I have tried it both ways. And it does help for sure. On 2 occasions I noted my Health and Action bars going down pretty quickly. Remembered I did not have CoB going. Hit my CoB and the bars started marching back upwards almost immediately.

That was enough proof for me.


Oh, and a note: Due to a hue and cry, mostly from waht I can tell from the entertainer population, SOE plans to nerf recursion in macros. You can see the threads on it on they Dev board. Which, of course, will kill this and most other handy combat macros I have.

On the death of recursive macro's: its not coming quickly because the Devs got an earful from a lot of crafters and combat types that use recursive macros. So, who knows, maybe this type of thing will survive. I'm hoping they just put time limits on recursive macros if they do anything.

That is CERTAINLY good news. I hope they pay attention to the objections, because the recursion is one of the handiest tools in macros.

CoB has very little effect on TKA. Sure, it doesn't hurt, but I barely notice a difference and usually don't bother. Compare that to using CoB while fencer, where the change is dramatic.

Also, they're not removing recursion, what Thunderheart was talking about was some kind of limit, like having them only repeat a certain number of times or automatically ending after a certain period of time. If that's the case then a CoB macro would still be really handy, if it wore out just do it again. The devs are just trying to stop people from doing unattended macros for many hours or even days on end.
