You can become certified for the scythe in the 4th box of two handed sword in brawler. Even so, you cannot get a scythe in game. There are no creatures or npcs that drop them. No lootable schematic. No mission or theme park reward. No regular schematic. Thats that. YOU CANNOT GET SCYTHES AT THIS TIME IN GAME!

There is a bit of evidence to suggest that scythe and scythe schematics are lootable or questable on TC at the moment. I'm spending a lot of time plunging in to the new content trying to get some answers regarding this. Hopefully I'll have something to post soon.

Scythes will be available in game as soon as the Genosian Bio-Lab opens up. Scythes require a Genosian Core... =)

And If I remember correctly you need Finesse III to use a Scythe.

from what i had heard they were going to bring it in with the geonosians cave and stuff like that(dought it)...the original cert for the scythe was correct...you could get it as a quest reward...but then they dropped it and replaced it with a gun or something like that before the game came out, they just never removed the cert for it from the tree, also you have to haveswordsman(not brawler)0-0-0-3 i think to get the certification for the scythe

the Scyths is now a reward schematic from an NPC quest on tatooine thats currently on TC. the special components areavailable from the geonosiandungeon. yes the cert has been moved to 2H sword finesse III. It is a very spiffly looking weapon.

this one was looted by some client/server bug and does not have the stats that a player crafted one will have (I think).

If you take a look at the weaponsmith forums or the TC forums you might be able to find some more info.
