Thread: Brawlers just got nerfed AGAIN

Also someone who is deleting my scout/marksman to make a brawler tonight because I don't like shooting things. The simple fact remains, if you don't like something, why just sit around and b*tch about it, either quit the game or make a new character. It's a quick resolution for all of you that will save us all a migraine.
you're not helping.
some of us happen to really like the unarmed professions, and don't like the fact that it's being nerfed into oblivion. change professions? hell no! i'll be a master TKA come hell or high water, thank you very much!
then again, maybe after playing unarmed for a bit, you'll understand just how underpowered it is. until then, thanks for trolling.
Hey I can respect that, I just question peoples motives. Is making redundant flame posts towards Lucas really going to be productive though? Maybe one of you should take some initiative and create an objective petition and send it to Lucas Arts and try to reach a resolution. The unarmed brawler class isn't the only class that's having problems right now either.

I would take your advice if I hadn't been doing that for the past month already. We'd been posting (rather rationally, I might add) that brawler HAM costs were far too high for the last month of beta. The fact that they're saddling unarmed with another nerf only tells me that all of our cries went unheard.
You can make the logical case for level-headed, calm posts all you like, but the devs have established a pattern of only responding to sensationalist, troll-style posts, and that is why you see so many of them.
I played a Tank in DAoC- Warrior and Hero. So naturally I decided to go with a Brawler. I have only been playing for two days but these two days have not been fun for me. I died about 5 times. After reading these replies, did I create the right character?
What the hell should I specialize in? So far I managed to get 1000pointed into unarmed and 1000 into one handed but can't find anyone to train me yet.
Where do I go from here? What should I be doing (grouping sounds like the way to go based on the last reply) Or should I delete this char and become a Scout??
Brawlers must have a purpose besides causing hardship and making it a relentless struggle to get anywhere like 1-50 in DAoC ![]()
Please help me
As for survivability, you just have to be smart, and you have to be cautious. Know your skills and what they do, but more importantly, know what they do to you (read: warcry1 sucks; expect intimidate1 to fail a good chunk of the time; never taunt). Pick your targets carefully; try to avoid mobs that help each other out if you can. And always try to have a burst run saved up.
I'm up to expert unarmed with my time split between combat and tailoring, and I have yet to be incapacitated. Use your brain and you can survive. That doesn't change the fact that it's harder to do so than any other profession, of course.
