Ok, with nocive brawler CoB skills, I went and tried some mobs right outside of bestine.

HAM costs are fairly small, I didn't notice much taken off whenever I did this move (then again, I was unarmed, will be interesting to see if weapon ham costs apply)

With only +10 efficientcy, it wasn't a very effective move, and it only lasted five seconds. (Thats to be expected at novice brawler though!)

I could still do specials without the defensive bonus going away.

So, basically, little cost for what could be a huge bonus to melee at master. CoB relates directly to what melee weapon you're using, so taking trees in other professions won't make these skills stack.

At master pikeman, we get +115 eff. and lasts 30 seconds (+10 eff. and +5 duration additional if you have master brawler). This won't stop kiting, but will make kiting a lot less dangerous to us.

It looks as if most combat professions got a ton of defensive bonuses so pvp and pve might be a lot more interesting now, and might deter people from using pets. (woot!)

Great. Instead of doing it the right way and give us passive defense, they give us yet another stupid move.

This skillis not necessarily final.

And this skill is not all that changed for us. I mentioned that mycharacter has +115 Block, melee and ranged def were increased along with that.

What are the durations and HAM costs on CoB? Are they affected by skill mods?

Does CoB lower our damage? Attack speed?

Does Master Brawler grant benefits for CoB?

I really don't feel like grinding another brawler in TC to find out.

For all the Test Center players, any information you can share with the rest of us about the brawler Center of Being skill? Is it a specific command?

Just curious about the strategy, for example, whether you could heal, hit center of being while your healdamage timer counts down, then heal again having been protected by CoB?

Is it enough to provide the ability to tank?

It also looks as though CoB works only with the skills and at the skill level of the weapon you happen to be wielding at the time.

Thanks, I have a TC client set up, but haven't been able to go in and try anything yet.

I'm not ignoring you, Daigoro. I ned to check the current status on what I'm allowed to say about the specifics of this. I will say, "yes" it is a specific command, and it does matter which melee profession you are as to what is does. As for whether or not it provides the ability to "tank", that is part of what is being tested.

Again, please note: Although many things that make it to TC get implimented, not everything does, especially the things that don't have an accompanying patch message. Do not get your hopes up tremendously for this stuff just yet. Better to be pleasently surprized than horribly dismayed. I know I keep bringing that up, and I hope it ends up not being necessary, but I just don't want everyone getting upset if it doesn't go through to live exactly as it, or screaming at the devs that anything was nerfed.

I would believe you except that past experiences have shown that stuff on test goes to live no matter what people say. Hopper sizes were screwed up on test, and they weren't supposed to go live, but they did.

Item decay on incap and death will most likely go live too, unfortunately.
