Thread: Are their any 'uber-brawlers' out there? People whose sole method of combat is brawling?
I am a master brawler/master swordsman/master stances fencer/master precision tera kazi/master defense pikeman/lvl 3 first aid/lvl 3 explorer
This is insanely powerful against pve: I can solo a bol crusher lair... I solo mutant rancors... and I have beaten a force wielding NPC (although i lose more than i win there as they tend to whack yah for a special hit of over 1200)
My methods are simple I run to 25m I then spam the int2 button till it sticks running like mad trying desperately not to get hit: this halves all dmg done for the next 2 min to me
I then hit both bleeds stacking them for around 4k every 8 seconds
I then switch to unarmed and spam the blind till it works (this lowers their chance to hit i think by half although i am unsure... it may just be for a LOT... like 50 or more)
I then switch back to hammer and if necessary (usually) use a stim b
I then whack away with my mind hit 3 OR just whack the thing a few times while the bleeds kill it depends on resists (70% resist Blast with a hammer means i will kill myself a LOT faster than almost any creature i fight useing specials)
BTW i do this WITHOUT even useing my little beetle... with my beetle... well... mobs dont like me anyway...
Basicly as i said, in PVE i am only stopped when i meet things like force wielders or krayt lvl stuff... or 3 or more rancors ( i have a 50-50 chance in melee combat if i have 2 rancors on me but its always close perty much)
OK thats PVE in PVP i can be killed by a noob with a cdef... if they made a slingshot wielding 6 yr old class i am sure i could be soloed by him too... basicly all you have to do is stay further away from me than 15m and closer than 64 and i will never hit and simply take dmg till i die... might take 5-10 min but heck itll happen sooner or later... only decent times i ever had in PVP was:
A: when folk dont notice me running at them and i get that one huge bleed off before they run and kite... ( i have a picture in my mind of a guy sending a msg to his group saying "hey... yall see the guy with the hammer coming at us?what the heck does he think hes doin?and then discussing the possible tactics useable to send me to clone (looking up occaisonally to see how fsar away i still am).... while i am STILL running madly at them like the knight in monty pythons holy grail...)
B: when they get mad and follow me into ANY building and i teach them you cant kite someone in a 10-10m space... it is rather fun to watch them circle the room though while i sty perty much in the center...
So I hope that answers you a little bit...
btw overall dmg i take on a 1000 health hit... if it hits my armour....
1000-500 (int2) =500 - 250 (light armour vrs almost all creatures ap0 {anouther reason to avoid any weapon user})=250- 100 (40% resistall on my composite) = 150- 57 (38% swordsman melee resists)= 93 total dmg. Amount i get hit after i blind the heck out of it= 1 in3 (i have a 101 melee defense) so i avg takeing 93 points every 6 seconds or so in a combat like this...
I'll take you on that bet Talcius, I'm a Master Brawler, Master Creature Handler(I can control 3 powerful pets at once), almost Master Pikeman, bring it on dude, my pets will have you for lunch and I'll put your head on my pike as a trophy... MMMUUUAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ![]()
We brawlers got to stick together....
You're wrong. Lunge2 is long enough for a master melee to finish off just about any marksman. And, if not, Lunge1 is all that you need to do it. The 30 seconds doesn't matter if the guy is lying there incapacitated or dead.

brawler isnt worth having anymore im about to drop it, without the old lunge 2(NERFED TO USELESS)what do u have.
answer is nothing waste of alot of skill points to get what now intimidate 2 warcry 2 .... I think i can do better for 40 skill points
To answer the original question, my guy is currently:
Master Brawler, Master Swordsman, going for the defensive lines in all other melee professions (not quite there yet, about 3/4 of the way). I'm also going to pick up at least 2/4 in meditate and maybe the whole line. Oh, and of course I'm novice medic and novice scout (terrain negotiation).
Anyway, I'm very powerful in PvE and also haven't had any problems in PvP. Zemsta, I'm not sure why you're having so much trouble, but the trick is to know your role and playing intelligently. If someone is kiting you, then let them go. If they don't see you coming, don't waste time with the bleed, just lay them out with a Lunge2 and 1-2 mind hits from the Powerhammer will finish them unless it's another melee or they are heavily armored (composite).
in answer to question 1 i ALWAYS wear armour... the only piece i dont wear is the helm as i need to regen mind badly... but even there sometimes... on head hits it runs like this... usually i can regen fast as i regen about 5 pts per second... and often enough i dont take head hits... so the question is do i feel lucky 5 straight head hits will take me down... but a very few and i can regen fast enough to offset it...
as to pvp its the problem of hitting a moveing tgt... that and a bh with eyeshot means aut death... i get hit usually fer arouond 1000mind dmg in about 10 sec... coincidently he can do it while moveing so i never get there... if i do get to a guy AND i dont get the too far away msg even at 1m distance then the guy turns to pwder real fast... just getting there is half the batttle is all...
I am an 'uber-brawler'. My professions are as follows:
Master Brawler
Master TKA
Master Medic
Doctor 0430
I am a Buffing machine.
I am a Super Tank (my CH friends have taught me Trick1 and Trick2).
With Intimidate 2, I can solo 3 Kimos at once.
Lunge2 allows me to stop and kill just about any marksman.
Best of all, I have a lot of fun.
