I keep reading everyone saying Vibroknucklers. I thought these were a TK cert? Am I missing something? I'm trying to grind through unarmed IV to commando and it's almost impossible right now.

Master Brawler, Fencer 2444 here
got from brawler 0200 to master brawler in one day and half, using the fencer bleeds, then the weapon I wanted xp with, on high HAM mobs

1 if you have acess to bleeds use them to stack bleeds them swap to the weapon you desire to get points in do this before they nerf hits bleed stackingalways fight a higer lvl mob when using this technique.

2 if you dont have acess to bleeds but you have a friend that does ask them to do the bleed trick , but they will need to spam peace while you attack it or they will eat up all the exp ( i do this for my friend when we hunt )

3 if you caint do either of the above go hunt the highest lvl mobs you can kill wiht your main gun the kill the nest with unarmed

The method I used and mentioned else where is to get a good set of speed sliced vibro kuncklers. Even though you do not have a cert for them, the speed bonus they give is on average double your regular speed, so the DPS weighs in favor of using them. Of course, when I did this grind back in July, vibros were a brawler cert anyway, so it was a no brainer. These days you have to be smart, buff up, and choose your targets wisely.

I'm grinding Master Brawler for the fun of it NOT a Holo. I have done one tier 4 box a night (I play 2 hours every night) by using this method.

I have 2 friends that are grinding CH, we go to Talus, get the Tortur missions. They spawn usually 2 normal and 1 bull. We sit back about 90m, one person runs in and puts a bleed shot on one of the normals, peaces and runs back. When the bleed hits, the tort in question aggros either the shooter or their pet, when the tort charges up to us, the pets go in first, with me on their heels. I didn't use VKs, didn't need em. You get above 1k per normal, and 2k+ for the bull, and around 3k for the lair, remember, initial spawn, plus 2 more spawns, so roughly 15k per mission, we could do one in about 25 minutes (I played a little over 2 hours some nights, but don't tell my wife.)

BTW, I'm a wookiee so no armor, but one of my CH friends is also medically talented, she kept me standing when the torts noticed me.

So go ahead and post your suggestions for gaining experience as a brawler. Be as specific as you like. Discuss unarmed 4 (the most popular and also longest grind) or any of the skills in brawler. If this thread doesn't work, I'll drop in a week or so.

I was master brawler/master tka a while back, but dropped to try a few other profs. In the interim I mastered rifleman. I just decided to get brawler back and wanted to do it before they nerf the bleeding mobs, which is coming in next publish. So today I got novice brawler and went with my rifle and started bleeding huurtons and quenkers. I mastered all of brawler, got novice tka and novice fencer, all in about 8 hours of gameplay. So the bleed technique is definitely the best thing to do atm. But if you want to use it you better use it before thursday the 12th. From that day on dot's count as dmg and you can no longer use them to help level other skills.

Some folks are saying get a VK (I have one) and some are saying get a pair of VK's... can you equip more than one and does it give another speed increase?

no you get 1 vk and one speed increase every. Fastest way bar none to grind to unarmed 4 right now is to have a buddy bleed a high level critter for you and peace itand let it bleed to 1 point in the stats. Then you hit it once and kill it and get all the xp. But this is being removed in the publish i believe since now dots will count to the xp of the dot giver. To do it solo definitely get a vk for teh speed boost from ua 1-4 and if you need to novice. Also get buffs and wear armor. To master elite brawler profs i would suggest hunting dant. Pikets are good xp, dont hit back that hard, and dont dot you. And when you get far enough up your profession remember that AOE/spin attacks are your friend for grinding. You will tear through groups of creatures much faster once you get spin attacks than without. For most of the profs spin 1 doesnt do enough damage but spin 2 makes aoe a viable option. Also use food and spice to buff up your mind stats and just spam the hell outve specials.
