Thread: st gabe you need to take this to the devs why can ranged profs use intimidate/warcry?
This is hardly severe. Man I swear some people only think nerf. How about the dev's make all the skills for every profession work first. Then we can talk about what needs to be "balanced".

this makes no sense and show a severe imbalance in game play - not to mention a disregard for the brawler community.
I honestly cant believe anyone responded to the first post.
So basically you want someone who is a ranged fighter to either work into a macro or manual unequip the weapon then warcry then re-equip.
Last time I checked it cost skill points to get brawler.
Next thing you know people will be crying because an artisan can survey while holding a gun![]()
How about going to the devs and asking for more loot or content in the game.
Unbelievable
That's the beauty of a multi-tiered, multi-faceted combat system... the ability to use skill points in multiple areas to find what works best for you. A nice Combat Medic will do the trick against just about anyone... or any group of people... but that's another issue...
Prances - Kettemoor
I agree with the 4 lasts posts. At first sight I thought that this COULD be an overpowered combo. But I've done some testing and lol.
Okay I can warcry a worrt. But it's 1 on 10 pikets longhorn, so that's not an ultimate combo at all, I guess someone just got killed by a (lucky) rfileman doing a Warcry.
Thinking about it, adding Master Brawler should be a nice and cleaver template. ![]()
I think that we're going to see stacking toned down so as to prevent some of the more "uber" templates however I don't think stacking will go away altogether. Personally I'm hoping that professions will get more unique abilities so that stacking of these abilities, and not just skill modifiers, will be more obvious.
Hmm I don't use the brawlers abilities like Warcry and Intimidation, because I don't have any skill point left. BUT: you already have a lunge attack that can hit an opponent when he's 20 mts far (and change his posture), and I think this can be considered as a free ranged attack. If a pistoleer or a rifleman wants to spend 15 (!)skill points to gain the ability to scream at someone, what is the problem?
And, if you really want to know my opinion, is ridicuolous that a1day oldNovice Brawler, with a stick in his hand (or even unarmed...) can intimidate or delay for 10 seconds a Master Bounty Hunter...
