LOL Well, I've dueled a butt load of TKM/Master Doc combos- they have *all* used Doc buffs.

Which, until this latest patch which actually made Fencers somewhat viable, made my pitiful little Warcry 2 obsolete

lol, you know this is what the Brawler class needed actually.

A TK Master crying that he got beat down by a Master Brawler. Instead of crying about it, give the Master Brawler some credit where credit's due.
He outwit a Master of an Elite profession and took him down.
Considering the damage done by Brawlers is so insignificant vs the damage dealt out by a Master TK, i'm surprised this happened, and am also impressed. The Brawler used his skills to _his_ advantage and it worked.
He knew what he was doing, that's for certain.

Sorry Mr Master TK. But instead of whining that Warcry is too long, you really need to think about giving the guy who beat you up, some respect and a salute.
This simple excersise proves that Master Brawler is not a futile profession to learn.

/applaud the Master Brawler

I am right now TKM/master HS/ master brawler. So I know a little about this. if practice no DB duels for melee range I say, lets not use warcry. I am not interested in a track meet, I am interested in a fight. But, if I got warcried, yeah I'd run till it left. But it is a fair and valid move. And yes it does make sense for a master of a starting profession to beat an elite class. I have noticed a lot of TKm never use blind, stub, intimidate? Why? this makes your opponent hit like a school girl. So, I use it, and win and win and win. It is like you forget where ya came from. And in real life, when you get jumped, you aren't thinking spin kick to the head, spining back fist.. you are thinking O-M-G, and do the basics. Kick to knee/groin, punch to head. Basics rule!

I did indeed get schooled by someone who was more prepared for me than I was for them, though it kinda bugged me. Running had honestly never occured to me, so I guess thats half the problem at least. Also, i wasn't taking any damage from him, just his quenker pets, frickin **edit**...At least I know what to look for now though. Does anyone know what the chance to be effectedy by warcry is determined by? Thats more for my curiosity than anything else.

Not sure what causes the effect to be resisted, etc. It's like panic shot for smuggler. There's a chance it will resist, but mainly they won't.
There's also clothing enhancers from Bio Engineers to make Warcry even more dangerous and effective. For instance, if i'm out on basic planets, i will equip my warcry/intimidate clothing and have a +30 bonus to each, meaning i never fail to make them work.

Well when you get used to never needing to run except from gunshots, it's not one of those things that immediately comes to mind...

yeah, it's a state of mind for melee fighteres to stand there and duke it out. i had the same conversation with Seena after a duel we had yesterday... it's very surprising to see how many melee fighters (masters even) just stand there and take it up the rear when they get warcried...

"Sometimes the magic works, and sometimes it doesn't"

- Old Chief Lodgeskins

Sometimes when I use warcry 2 it works.

Sometimes I get a message saying it was resisted.

So far, so good.

But many times I get nothing at all. It doesn't say it worked. It doesn't say it missed. It doesn't say it was resisted. It doesn't say there is any reason I cannot use it. Nothing happens - period.

Advice on this oddity is welcome.

Please give me the benefit of the doubt and assume I have enough HAM, that I have not spammed it, and other obvious things.

Personaly I think nothing shows because it just didint stick.. It hapens quite ofte to me. I see it in the macro fighting box but then it disapears when used and nothing shows as resist or miss. To me it just means it didnt stick. You even see the character bring his hands up but nothing hapens.
