Yeah, I am routinely told I'm out of range at 19M to 25mwith lunge2... kind of frustrating. I was guessing lag also, but hadn't ruled a bug/nerf out of the question.
It almost seems that lunge2 is more prone than lunge1to out-of-range conditionat 19M. Very odd.
