If this will significantly decrease my soloing ability then I might end up just cancelling the game and waiting for world of warcraft to come out. I really do not enjoy tredmill.

I got many games from Blizzard, and I know they do not nerf stuff and usually make games user friendly. What makes me interested in it is that on their website they specifically said the game will be made for a casual gamer. I like that.

Anyway we will see what happens. After all this test thing could be just a rumor.

Well, it is test after all. Nothing on a test server is every set in stone. As to WoW, I eagerly wait that game. Gotta pass the time with Star Wars till then I guess. lol

Curious, what is exactly the+UA damage modat Master now for a non-Trandoshan ?

Was at +98 before, how much did it increase ?

They mentioned increasing the damage on TK/ua specials also , how much ? any noteworthyadditions?

Or is it barely anything like5% or something ?

Though any increase to damage in good.

TK/ua damage was at +160 for non-trandoshan before in beta, it got nerfed to +98 about two weeks before release. I never needed to use knucklers then and why would I since TK's have insane pool costing specials and weren't worth the vampire effecton your character to use them.

If they brought it back up to something reasonable like +130 that would be nice =D

Still think they really need to give VK's the same range as bare hands.Need to reduce the specials costs down to 1/3 of the present HAM suckage.

I just got my first pair of VK, and my god they are sweet. After geting them sliced up to 148 max damage, I'm one-shotting light blues instead of struggling to outdamage my probot. Of course that's after throwing a mesh trap at them and maybe my bot gets a shot off, but still. I can finally solo whites with help from my droid without fearing the battle will go ugly more than half the time. I still take damage, but at least I get decent XP cause I'm doing decent damage.

However, I will say that perhaps these VK are a bit overpowered for someone with only unarmed 3. I think they should have two types of VK at least, with one cert at unarmed2 and one atunarmed 4. Then if they want more of them at TK, that's cool. But driving the *only* unarmed weapon (ok, yes I know, unarmed means no weapon, but what can you do?) to TK seems a bit too much.

I guess I'll wait to see how much they up the base damage before I complain too much. In the meantime, I need to get cooking on some XP before the patch/nerf.

Well lets look at the postive here -

if you leave SWG, and go to WoW, which is probably the idea for most people, WoW doesnt come out until 2004, possibly 2005 because of Blizzards known release ability to tell us " When its done."

Second, these patches are in testing, which can mean they might not go through. So, Voice your opion, as loud as you can, just dont dictate, and maybe they won't change it. And patch will not come out in 2 or 3 weeks, it wll probably be closer to 4 to 5 weeks due to bugs anderrors that will arise during the testing.

And in 4 to 5 Weeks - you can get Master TK If you are starting from inter Unarmed in Brawler Tree.

I'm not sure I understand the purpose of having to certify for VK's. Any thug can pick up a roll of quarters or a metal bar and pound the bejeezus out of someone. Provided they have the skill to hit someone. Even though a lot of people will disagree with this, I think VK's should stand as they are for brawlers but become less attractive for use as you get better with unarmed combat. Personally, I'd prefer not to use them at all but the way things are going with unarmed combat it doesn't make much sense not to indulge.

Not to say I wouldn't be all for having a range of knuckles to choose from and leave VK's certified because of the technology. But that doesn't appear to be happening either.

If you want to worry about realism, there's a huge difference between putting a roll of quarters in your hand, which just makes your fist heavier, and putting a vibro-blade in front of your knuckles. You may as well say "Any idiot can pick up a pair on Nun-chaku and be Bruce Lee."

Well, I think it's a good idea. Perhaps this is because I already have novice TKA. But it makes the unarmed tree and ultimately TKA a more difficult profession. More difficult is always a good thing. It will make it extra special to become TK Master. Ahh..can't wait.

Umm... No. Two completely different things. I'll be willing to concede that the technology behind a VK is more advanced than, say, brass knuckles, but the theory is the same. Nunchuks are quite different.

However, a range of knuckles would be better and then I could see the point of cert'ing VK's. I still maintain that TKA's should not be allowed to use any weapons at all, VK's or otherwise.

All this does is make it so it takes a week to get to TKA novices as opposed to half a week. =p
