Chin up brawlers!
CoD is incredible once you get to the upper levels of an elite profession. The duration is quite long and you change into a dodging / blocking / counterattacking fiend. I haven't actually pvped since the patch, so I don't know how well it works on other players, but on creatures and npcsit's spectacular.There is nothing like watching a kimogila fruitlessly try to hit you.
I recently mastered brawler, so I spent a while working my non-fencer melee weapons up through their initial trees, and that was a different story though.... the effect was usually over before I even had a chance to notice how ineffective it had been. I haven't had a chance to analyze my combat spam, but perhaps the ham cost should be weighted by the users CoD effectiveness or duration... so that it costs less at lower levels. As it stands nowit seems to do more harm than goodby using it at lower skill levels.
As negative as that sounded, CoD is still a great skill, you just work your way up before it becomes effective.
Personally I would really like to see something to buff up CoB for the earlier life of a brawler. The initial duration is a joke. I would like to see it start much higher 20-30s and have the maxed out duration raise as well. Also I have to think that CoB is probably useless to a brawler simply because they don't yet have dodge/block/counter skills. I'm trying to see if there is a possibility that something might be done about this.

My experience with COB is it is only useful for getting me killed quicker.

I have been going through to Master Brawler after enjoying Teras Kasi so much that i decided to try the rest of the brawler trees out.
Even at Master TKA the duration simply isn't long enough to be truly effective. So in all honest,y i think the start of CoB should be approximately 30 seconds at Novice Brawler, then at Master Brawler, approximately 1 minute, or 40 seconds if you just go to tree 4 in one specific tree to get to the elite profession of that type of melee.
Then at Novice of the Elite, the bonus should fly up to 1 minute 30 seconds. Then once you hit Master of the Elite (tka, fencer, etc), your bonus should be at approx 2 minutes.
I really think that would help to make Brawlers into a much more effective tanking unit.
Use no buffs, and no armor, and dont' have knockdown, or dizzy stick and tell me about soloing force sensitives lol.
I really don't know why everyone sez it's broke.... maybe it's just me but its works freaking awesome. I most definately notice the difference in my combat spam.
