Thread: Ultimate Tank
i would say human fora full set of composite, if you feel thats neccessary (sp? dont have MS word, spel check dosent work) if not, trandoshan for brawler, extra unarmed bonuses, you get to wear the 3 most important armors, leg chest head, and have nice stats, i would say masterbrawler, master tka, smuggler df line, pistoleer tech line, pistoleer stances is nice too, this gives major melee defense, tkmaster is awesome already, you get a ranged KD and delay, Feign death, 2 bleeds (if pistol is used to only hit bleeds the exp goes to unarmed, all of it) if you can squeeze medic in there inplace of smuggler line, get only smuggler 0010 feign death is so helpfull when it takes a turn for the worse, even if its just to loose the aggro for a sec to heal
if you check out the pistoleer tech line, you get +50 to KD resist +30 to dizzy resist, +40 to blind resist ,and +40 to stun resist, (if i remember corectly)ADD this to the masterbrawler moves and tka RESISTS you will be great, im currently working on this template i thought up/gathered ideals form others

Tanking in the melee classes is more than just being able to take hits. You can't hold yourself to the graul mauler mantra of tanking where you go attack critter and hope you live long enough for your buddies to kill them.
As a TKA/SL I learned very early my best abilities was in keeping all the ranged users alive. This did not neccessarily mean just standing in the wya of mob and player. It meant keeping an eye on everyone and how the battle was going. And then executing various lunges, knockdowns and intimidates to keep the agro off the medics and such.
Often times having to break off my current target and turn on another one to keep it from killing another player. Or just running in and draggin incapped players to safety.
As a squad leader I had a few extra abilities that helped too. Being able to volley fire on a critter often confuses them so they aren't immediately sure who to attack, or they break attack on whatever they were going after.

But......
with COB all fixed up....a brawler/marksman combo would def. make the ultimate tank
imagine a master heavy swordsman/master brawler/master carbineer with 220 couterattack using COB...whats that? around 440 counterattack
Same for pistoleer/fencer/brawler....440 dodge....sheesh
with some good armor, pumpin out COB as soon as it dies...youd be unhittable....literally
