NO! Bad Idea... Even a speed sliced hammer will be slower than the sword.... Use the Sword until you get at least the techniques tree done... Then once that is done use a speed sliced hammer for the rest of swordsman. After you master, get speed capped.... Speed capped swordsman is more or less 3 times faster than non speed capped swords.



It all depends on what you're fighting. ALot of things have such a high kinetic resists that the hammer is better even though its slower.
