Thread: petition on warcry

Warcry in the next patch is getting a nerfed, and now because of that people won't be able to pause attacks for a few seconds just to heal or add more damage to the target. Are the devs doing the same thing to panic shot? who knows... What I know is that without warcry I'm going to have a really hard time doing anything in pvp and pvm and I'm sure that at a least a few people here will agree with me on this that we need warcry. Well thats my two cents feel free to add yours.

Dont nerf it....provide a way of resisting its effects, ie Chef food with Warcry resists. This seems to mainly be a problem with PVP, BUT, to be honest moves like knockdown dizzy are just as bad. I really dont see why this is getting changed above all the other delays.

I am a master brawler, and warcry definately needs a nerf, at least in pvp. most fights never last 20 secs. This is a well deserved nerf

I think 10 seconds should be the amount of time the enemy is delayed with warcry. Maybe five seconds for smuggler's panic shot....

I am a master brawler and pretty well up in 2 hand weapons. AnytimeI duel a flamethrower if i land Warcry i almost always win. However if I miss warcry I always lose. So is a nerf necessary no. Now after I warcry I am going to have to not hit the target and hope someone else does or else once I hit my target it will flame me and win. Am I saying to nerf Flamethrowers. NO. I think the fair alternative would be leave both as they are but offer some defense vs. warcry and or food modifiers to help against warcry. These bonuses should be part of melee defenses gained by being a marksmen. While I'm posting I have been meaning to put my 2 credits worth in about the "God Templates." Sure I don't have a god template however nerfing defenses is a terrible idea. If I can't use 1 tree from here and 1 tree from there why is tehre a Skill Point System. If you can't use the mods from other professions then I would like to be able to Master all professions. It won't make me any better at any one thing. When Devs defend the Skill Point system they say it is so you can decide what skills and bonuses you want. If you want to be a Weaponsmith Rifleman then go right ahead, but be expected to be beat by someone who spent all of there Points on combat. So either allow Mod Stocking or eliminate all SP system. Thanks

Well CenterOfBeing certainly helps against ranged attackers. Not that it works for a TKA.

Center of being helps, but it does not save your self. You know i always thought Warcry should be more powerful. For instance warcry 1 stays the same, but Warcry to forced enemy to not move for 5 seconds and then 15 seconds they cant attack, running after someone with a sword in hand is not a very effective method of fighting.

i'm a master brawler, master tka...and i fail to see why this needs nerfing. from what i've seen most pvp'ers use a combo of marksmen and brawler skills (like riflemen with fencer defenses) which means alot of people have access to warcry. if they choose not to utilize it, well, too bad. warcry is almost a must when a brawler takes on a ranged combatant. how else are we supposed to catch someone who is spamming knockdowns, or master headshots and so on? we'd be incapped from all the damage we take trying to catch up. i can see perhaps taking warcry1 down to like 5 secs and making warcry2 13 or 15.

With composite and buffs PvP battles last a lot longer then 20 seconds.

Blah this is silly, warcry has been overpowered for a long time. If you really dont see that you must have blinders on.


20 seconds in PvP is a lifetime, having someone stall you from doing anything for 20 seconds is ridiculous.


Peoplehave beenable to abuse the hell out of warcry in PvE as well, how hard is it to take on some of the toughest mobs in the game when you can just stack warcry's on them every time it runs out so they cant do anything but die.


I do agree kd/dizzy isn't really any better, but that is more of a PvP issue than anything else, dizzy lasts too long and generally once you're down its over unless you have help. Which amounts to a near 1 hit kill. At least some of the chef's foods that have been added help this.

Wow. That's really clever, making a mastery almost useless.

And to the guys complaining about warcry in pvp..


How about dizzy/knockdown?


Sure it's half the distance to hit you - but at least with warcry you can run away from the brawler till you can kite them some more.. (jerks, lol)


If the 20 seconds it too long.. why not this?


Warcry1 - 10 second delay till damaged

Warcry2 -10 second full delay


A lot of PvE players find warcry useful - so if not the above, why not PvE only instead of a dumb "Crowd-Control" idea. Maybe as the target has better defense, the time delayed is lowered in some sort of scale - but certainly not what is in this latest publish!


Lunge2 is a knockdown for say, two seconds. On it's own - it is kind of useless for PvE.

Not everyone in this game is a PvPer, ya know..

Right when I find out how useful Warcry is, it's nerfed. I already have a KD/Dizzy, so Brawler is useless. All this patch did was give me more skill points to use now that I don't have brawler anymore.


20 seconds is too long, all they had to do was slice the times in half. Now there is no incentive for Mastering it.


btw, if you "crowd control" a group of people, and some other guy attacks someone who was warcried, does that mean he can go back to kicking the crap outta me again? Or did that come out weird?
