Thread: Master Brawler How Much Does It Help TKM?
I'm thinking about adding Master Brawler to my TKM character, but the only thing I think I'd use much is Warcry 2 & Intimidate 2. Are they that much better than Warcry 1 & Intimidation 1?
Are there other advantages for a TKM to have Master Brawler as opposed, let's say, to Master Pistoleer? Pistoleers have good defense bonuses, too.
Who says you can't also have master pistoleer? You can if your willing to give up some noncombat skills.
Master brawler is great! Though if your looking to enhance your defense skills. Master brawler is not for you unless you like the notion of another +5 to unarmed toughness. However Warcry 2 is a 20 second delay over that of Warcry 1's 10 seconds. Intimidate 2 lasts longer, and has a better chance of sticking. Last but not least is lunge 2. This move is a knockdown, and has more range (20m) than unarmed knockdown 1 & 2. So it's another good trick to have up your sleeve if someone tries to run from you.
Though again. If your looking for defense skill mods. Youonly get +5to melee and rangeds only. No defense vs stun, blind, dizzy, or knockdown. If those are the skill mods you are looking for. Then master brawler is not for you.
I mastered Brawler to assist in my becoming a TKM and it has helped tremendously in that quest (currently 3,3,4,3). I'm not sure the mods would be of much use to a TKM (UA speed is maxed out at TKM without Master Brawler mods), but Intimidate II, Warcry II and UA Lunge II are excellent weapons and I use them frequently. I also use Taunt occasionally to save my ranged friends.
I'm not a TKM, but have been a TKA for quite a long time and a brawler since launch and can tell you I wear my Master Brawler title proudly. Master Brawler is expensive, but IMO worth it for the many times its' specials have saved my butt.

Meh I forgot the lunge 2 has a great range. So yeah, it's good.
UA Lunge II and KD are also on seperate timers.
If you are pursuing melee (think I'm gonna keep it when I switch back over to ranged as well) professions, and have the points to spare (I'm silent holo grinding too, but master brawler doesn't seem to take up much), master brawler is an absolute must.
Gentlemen, Master Brawler sounds good, but I have to be honest - the thought of grinding again, especially in things I'm never gonna use again like Pikeman skills, doesn't sound appealing.
Where can I get quick xp in those three brawler columns - I'm starting virturally from scratch in them, lol.
Gronda's? Tortons? Half duns? hurtons?
I personally enjoy the giant four leggers of Talus. Dun's and Tortur's
Polearm was the last leg of course. I finished it off with haf Dun's on talus with each kill ranging from 1200 to 2100, those being dun's and dun bulls.
Pretty quick with some pistol bleeds from a nice krayt FWG that can bleed them for half their health heheh
Boy am i giddy now
That's with four plus 15+ warcry/int items though heh
but warcry was still working very well with just two of them on.
