Im dropping BH because i found it to suck way too much for me to have any fun with it. I am re-mastering swordsman and brawler, but im looking for another mellee profession to make up for the lack of pvp supremacy that swordsman has. As we all know swordsman owns at pve, im just wondering which profession is better at pvp. Fencer or tka? Im going to have points left over and im probably going to dabble in tka for meditate if i choose fencer. But if i choose tka what would any of you reccommend i do with my remaining points? I will have to keep novice medic btw. Any help is greatly appriciated.

If you want PVP choose Fencer, they get a Stun Weapon which is very effective against composite armors, plus you get kd / dizzy and dodge. That would really be my choice. If you take TKA you can still be powerful but a bit less I think.

If you're wanting PvP you would probably be better getting fencer, it has a stun damage weapon (the Stun baton) which most armours are vulnerable and it has a number of status attacks such as blind and dizzy.

lol....tkm's um, rock pve...fencers um rock pve...pvp, burst run kd/dizzy unarmed hit 3 to death...fencers get a stun weapon...beat the hell out of people...suck? if you know how to play both, they rock...

Well fencer is better if your fighting someone that isn't using a PSG and stun layered armor. If that is the case then TKA will probably have better DPS. Though at that point a speed capped master swordsman with a damage sliced scythe isn't that far behind either.

The pros on taking fencer in general: The high status defense, high melee/ranged defense, and dodge is nice when using a 1h weapon. Nice selection of status effects. They have all but stun. You'll cap on speed with your weapons at master. Scatter hit is really handy for getting those occasional mind hits.

The cons on fencer: Lack of strong Armor peircing, and the stun baton becomes less of a bonus vs PSG + stun layers. Also anything with light or better AR in PvE becomes a longer battle.

The pros on taking TKA: second best melee profession for generic defense (melee/ranged). Highest accuracy, meditate, the ability to target any pool, speed capped at master, and tight damage range makes melee migitation less of a hinderance. Actual dizzy + knockdown in one move. Not to mention ALL status attacks (Blind, stun, dizzy)

The cons on TKA: Limited to kinetic damage (though with the new vibro knuckler's high damage, and heat type. this is going to be lessened dramatically.) The worst status defenses of melee with the exception of posture change/Knockdown (+5 vs dizzy anyone?).

If I were going to do all melee again. I'd probably go for 4003 tka, master fencer, master swordsman, master brawler.

In the past I have been a master teras kasi artist, a master fencer, and master brawler. I am currently a master swordsman, master rifleman 4004 TKA and i enjoy it quite a bit. Working on pikeman with an alt so I can't comment on it yet, but I'll get there.

This is my PVE template and havent found anything yet that I can't solo. (well maybe those new battledroids)

Master Swordsman/Master Brawler (extra speed and acc, intimidate 2 is helpful against strong mobs) TKA 4/0/0/4 ( powerboost, meditate, force of will , lots of defenses) Novice Fencer (more defenses) medic 4/0/4/0 (can heal up to 2k at once with nice stim d's) Scout 3/0/0/0 (terrain and harvest capability)

Only time I get in trouble is when I get dizzied, so I am thinking about dropping scout and geting tka 4/3/0/4 and fencer 0/4/4/0 for extra defense against intimidate and dizzy and kd.

This is my template,it isgreat for PvE and I do very well at PvP with NO ARMOR. Well somtimes I wear it for the looks.

Hi,
I'm almost master rifleman and was thinking of mastering a brawler skill to compliment this. Any sugestions on what to go for, I'm not over keen on going TK as in my opinion there are to many of them. So far I'm 3024 Brawler and find the pikeman tempting so far.

He's a pistoleer so.... he sure doesn't know much of the brawling art.

And if he says Fencer and TK sucks in PvP, either he never did PvP or he did never use a stun baton / vk

Okay ummm... I am Master Swordsman/Squad Leader and would beat the crap out of you with my 390 mind dot axe mister *I can't lose in pvp*

And as for tanking Krayts; Every elite Brawler can do that but AP2 ones can actually kill em before their 3 hour buffs run out.
