Thread: Answer to the 19 Questions (Brawler)
Brawler:
Are the Devs considering changing Warcry from cone to AoE to make itbetter fit melee combat? If they are, when might we see this change implemented? ie, minipublish, combat balance, etc.
This is something the team is considering and plays into the reason we want to do the combat balance in a “sand box” environment. We want to make many adjustments for all the specials and intend on making many changes throughout the process. Because of that, specific answers are very tough because so much can, and will, change. The suggested change in the warcry special is something that will be looked at.
Looks like a definate maybe, when/if we see this change it will almost certainly be in the Combat Balance. Chin up guys and gals, we might get a great warcry back.

those questions you have are really good techboss, but the warcry thing is a really big thing for brawlers, as it is a main brawler skill, and it's usefullness was brought down to nearly nothing, and the question of it becoming a area effect special is a big one.
I can understand the warcry thing and do not disagree that it is an important brawler issue. This is where the correspondants need to get together and make sure they don't ask redundant questions. Virtually any combat profession can justifiably ask my questions. I am just saying, I really want to see these questions answered. I fear, that because they are not specific to any profession, that they will never be asked. Getting these questions answered will end a lot of debates as to whether the abilities are working as intended or are bugged. Either way:
- Knockdowns and posture downs are all but useless when lagged or in a group, especially against mobs that are resistant
- Dizzy is useless and does nothing against creatures.
The warcry issue is a good one, butI really want to know the following:
One of the combat professions needs to ask the posture down and/or knockdown canceling each other. As it is, lag and groups can make these specials useless.
Why does something that is knocked down or posture downed, immediately stand up when hit with another posture down or knockdown? This is very annoying and is only compounded by grouping and/or lag. The afore mentionedspecials are already on a timer, so there is no need for them to cancel each other.
The other question I have is, why does dizzy not work on creatures, even 2 legged creatures?

These are really good questions.

MoC, you remember this ? http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=brawler&message.id=9695
For the lazy :
- Increase Warcry/Intimidate Success rate or Decrease Warcry/Intimidate HAM costs by 1/2 - 1/3.
- Add additional bonuses to Warcry/Intimidate in other portions of the Brawler class
- Make Warcry an AoE ability instead of Cone
- Increase the amount of Toughness in Polearms 3 and 4 to +10 like the other Brawler trees
- Pull some of the damage from TKA novice and put them in the Unarmed tree so it can remain competetive with the other Brawler trees.
- Make CoB more useful for lower levels
I go for asking about the KD/posture change issue, I had a look through the top 5 list they were pretty much all questions that would end up with a 'wait for the combat revamp' answer, maybe we could ask if it is a bug or intentional, we might get a reply for that.
