Which melee class has the coolest animations do u think? Just curious do pikeman acutally use staffs as their best weapons because i know fencers and swordsman best weapon isnt the sword... and what are the pros and cons of a tka and pikeman? How is pikeman solo and in groups in pve? And im a newb so i just started... any suggestions where i can hunt? for pikeman or tka?

I've seen all the TKA, fencer, and swordsman specials, and I have to say that I think fencers have the coolest animations. Though I've heard that pikeman animations are cool also. (I'll have to leave that opinion to someone who has seen it). Fencer animations are very cool, mixing flashy kicks with various strikes. For example, 1handhit3 starts with a couple of strikes followed by a spinning crescent kick, thena butterfly kick and finishes with a couple more strikes to the head. It is a very cool looking combo. scatterhit2 is very nice looking too. Pikeman's primary weapons are the Long vibro axe and the vibro lance. (energy lance if you're lucky)

in general:

Pikeman=good PvE, great AoE hits, does kinetic and electricity damage primarily, also have good DoT weapons that drop off nightsisters

TKA=good PvE, good PvE (good all around in both, but not the best at either), good status effect hits, hits fast, primarily only kinetic damage

If you go pikeman, make sure you have buffs or the HAM costs will kill ya.

hmm, i think i might go for fencer then... how are fencers pve and pvp abilities?

Fencers are great in PvE against anything that is vulnerable to stun or doesn't have medium armor or super high kinetic resists. This basically means that they can't effectively solo high end creatureslike Krayts and some of the tougher nightsisters though. But fencers can tank anything in the game if you're in a group. On the other hand, fencers are very good for PvP. Basically fencers might not be the best prof for PvE (this would probably have to go to swordsman or rifleman), but they are still very respectable in PvE.

as far as animations go, pikeman hands down wins. But if you are doing a profession just for animations then pikeman isnt the best way to go. But you would walk witha big stick and have a tendency to want to break it off in someones behind.

Boy....hearing that pikeman hands down beats fencer in cool animations makes me want to master pikeman just to see all the animations. Can you give some examples of cool moves?
