Whats the best brawler-based combatant? pikeman, fender, swordsman, or TKA??

whichever you like best, there's not really one best or everyone would be it, but it's not pikeman

Everyone has a different opinion, they all have good strengths and are slightly different, so it's really what you want to do that tells you which is best 
.

There is no "Best" tree of brawler. At that level you really cannot kill anything higher than a quenker. The best thing in brawler is MASTER, Seeing that you have the 20m kd.

Lostboy, fencer has low damage outputs, but it is decent for PvP.
For PvE, swordsman and TKA are best.
For PvP, TKA beats a swordsman, and fencer is also good with TKA.

Swordsman (Two-handed melee) is best, naturally. 
Of course, it should be noted that I am primarily involved on the PvE side of game, so I am quite biased.
TKA seems to be the additive flavor to a great many templates. The meditation line helps heal states and wounds, without the benefit of any medical training. There are also nice melee and ranged defenses, as well as status defenses, available for the dabbler.
Pikemen seen to be regarded as excellent tanks, and they certainly have a good selection of lootable toys available to them.
Fencers are rightly regarded as excellent in PvP, both being able to most effectively wield a stun baton as well as having excellent defences make them quite popular.
Swordsmen have access to blast and kinetic damage, but deal massive amounts of that damage to one or several targets, and are considered popular in part for their ability to target the mind pool.
If you are really trying to make a decision about a future career path within SWG, you'd be better served scouring through the various profession forums and see what sounds like a good fit for you.

depends on what you want to be best at?
pve : pike or swords
pvp : teras kasi or fencer
you can however pick three of those professions , theres just enough skillpoints. so if you're mostly doing pve i would suggest : master teras kasi, master pike and master swords.. and you'll still do pretty good in pvp.
for pvp : teras kasi, fencer and pike(or swords) youll can do very good in pvp and pretty good in pve

yes fencer does have low damage outputs, but it's fast and has great dodge. fencer is great at pve, it least my fencer is
