Why is it such a pain to get to Investigation 1? Does this go on for the entire skill where the only way to get the points is to kill the guy? or can our seeker droids help us out?

Get yourself a Probot, an expensive one. Get CH novice and get a good pet. Use both to your advantage.

With knockdown effect in its sad state, this is the only way to effectively defeat BH marks consistently, and even then expect times where you are 1 shot by those targets.

Since you have to use droids for higher missions and they get farther and farther away, do you recommend staying at investigation 0 until you qualify for all 4, or is this not possible, or the exp is too low? Just wondering what I should do.

Hehe that's not possible I'm afraid. I'd suggest staying at Ivest 0 and getting 10k BH xp which will take you right through invest I and II straight off. 10k BH xp is the max before learning and of the Invest tree.

I din't really know where I should post this, but I wanted to bring to the community s an experience from yesterday. It is something that highlights one of the main problem with BHs.

Yesterday, my PA and a few others, had decided to raid a rebel base. We wanted to destroy it. We managed to get all the classes we need to hack the base except for one. That one was a BH with Investigation 2 or higher. We spent about 30mins looking for one, but every bounty hunter we found didn't have Inv2. Eventually we decided to go raid the base and hope we can find one when we get there. As luck would have it we did find one.

This I think shows a big problem with Inv2. Hardly any BH take it. This is due to the fact, imo, that it is a worthless tree line and takes too long to climb. Therefore this leads to a problem in PvP as there seams to be a lack of BH around with Inv2. Devs please take this as your top priority. We need something put into Inv line. It is seams to be the most useless line in the whole of SWG. Now I don't know if this is accurate, but as far as I can tell, it is the only skill line that gives you skills to allow you to advance through Inv and that is it. We already have tons of skill points pourded into scout skills that we don't really need. So it is hard for me to justify, pouring more time and skill points into Inv. I will instead be holding off until it is fixed, and made a more worthwhile line.

Definitely the most useless line since it actually does the opposite of what it's supposed to do. Probes and Seekers take even longer when you level it up.

Is it just me or is there not much investigative work done in this line? Sure you get your droid, track your target a bit and then fight. Rinse and repeat.

I think it would be cooler if every mark hunt would send you on a little quest. For instance once you got the mission, the spynet operative would tell you of someone that knows this person. You would then go speak to this person. And the conversation could lead to several possiblities. So as a result for every succesful piece of information you should get some investigation xp, and finally when you actually find out where the mark is, you get a nice amount, and the motherload when you find and kill it.

This could cause BH misisons to take even longer, but the xp gained should probably be a bit higher. I think this would be more interesting than just constant grinding.

Mission diversity, immersion.

Yeah, it's listed for DEV team, but what form should it take? This is an excellent post, thanks.

I dont know how difficult it would be for them to implement this, but i would really like to go on a more involving hunt for a mark, you know you find out things about it, chase after him for a while, really get to hate makes killing it in the end so much sweeter.

General concensus is to train Investigation III as soon as possible. Mission payouts and BH xp increase, plus the addition of the new Find and Track Feature. No reason to cap this one.

Is the investigation line worth going up? What exactly do you get from it? If just go up the weapon lines then I can free up some extra skill points. Thanks
