Thread: My First 3 Kills...

This is not soooo much about bragging (yay me, yay me)...but also some advice for new MBH who want to kill da Jedis...
1) Get mission, go to Theed...there's a group of Jedi fighting in front of the starport. I go running by like I have somewhere to be, wearing a flightsuit and no gun out (just because you're a BH, doesn't mean you have to look like one)...My droid gives me the name and I do /tar (jedi) just in time to see her get db'd by another Jedi...I figure she's gonna clone and come back to fight again...lo and behold a minute later she goes running into the starport where the fight had moved to. I mosey up rightbehind her...and just watch. And wait. And wait somemore. After 10 minutes, her mind and action start to drop...I hit my armor/gun equiping macro and pop my foods...wait until her mind and action are at 1/4 and then hit paralyze, debuffs and just open up on her.She's losing health pretty quick, tries to heal...hitting me with some junk saber (lost 1/4 of my health in the 3 minute fight)...while I'm beating the poo outta her, I start getting tellssaying, "yeah, kill that outside healing b***h"...get the db, bow and go on my merry way...
Then I experienced my first hate tells...I guess I'm a pathetic coward because I stalk and use my brain...lol.
2) Get mission, go to Tatooine...the wp is in a player city where lots of people grind out of. I let my droid track to make sure that my mark is really running missions...shuttle in, head to a vendortent by the mission terms, shuttle and cantina.../tar(jedi) and then...wait. Forever. Waited and waited and waited...while he buffed up, got missions etc...During this time I came up with a plan...run up, debuff, underhand and then run for the closest herd of rontos/banthas/dewbacks...figuring that he'd do a saber toss after me and aggro one or two of the herd giving me some help...
Well, finally he went back out to grind...I followed himat a distance, waited until he finished one lair with his group, rode up, dismounted and attacked according to my plan...which worked...only better. He followed me into a herd of rontos, but instead of aggro'ing one or two, he accidentally hit an AOE and aggro'ed the whole herd...needless to say, I db'd him and went on my merry way...
Andthen got the hate tells from his in game wife...who said I was a pathetic BH...to which I replied, "Pathetic like how I followed him unseen for 45min. Likehow I had a perfect execution on my plan. Like how I collected my cash and am on my merry way...that kind of pathetic?"
3) Find my mark spinning on Dant. Run over a little hill when I see her health drop a little, underhand, adv. crit and db...and the I hear the screams as 3 more of her group drop...lol, guess I hit the healer, as two more of the group died and another was incapped. I felt kinda bad and offered to heal them up...but needless to say, they declined. Not to be an a$$, but inadvertantly wiping out half of a group of Jedi with 2 shots was just hliarious.
And then I got the hate tells...and oddly enough, an apology afterwards...
So like I said before, these are just here for new BH to get some tips. Wait. Try to figure out what they're up too. Stalk. Have a plan. And don't go wandering around in your BH armor with a scatter pistol, run up guns blazing and wonder why you keep getting killed in three seconds flat.

See, thats what being a good bounty hunter is all about. Take your mark by surprise, study his movements, strike when the time is right. Thats a much more effective tactic than the people who take their first jedi mission, run up to the mark in their full suit of comp without buffs and then just start pounding. Good work man.

Thanks...and also as an interesting side note, I've had friendly chats with EVERY other Jedi who I've fought and lost to. Ranging from the "nice fight", to "wow, that was stupid but incredibly funny and courageous, have you ever thought about going Imp?"to the "here's some tips on how to beat me next time"...to my all time favorite from last night, "you should have beat me. that other guy just messed up your hunt." (when some clown with half his health blacked out kept shooting the mark whenever I used paralyze to debuff)...
Just don't be an a$$ and you'll meet some really cool people. I mean, the coolest people I meet in the game are my supposed enemies...have yet to meet a Reb Jedi who will duel me over and over again to help me inprove my fighting abilities...

Yeah Ive been ganked by groups of jedi before when i was still the template in my sig and I've had friendly chats with them. When I grind investigations up though Im expecting a whole new world of hatred. Ah well, I'll justsay imroleplaying and that ignoring them is the most bounty-hunterish thing to do.

LOL!! You will...just don't get discouraged...I have fought a total of 12 and won 3...although 3 of my loses were to the same guy...which was just funny the second time, but the third, well...he called me some well deserved names...

I'm just bumping this because it should help some new hunters out...
Another fun kill last night...followed around an SF Jedi on Dant near some player city while 4 Reb SF were trying to kill his uber cloakera$$ (how long can someone stay cloaked for?) After awhile, most of the Rebs ran off while he was talking smack to a Reb Jedi...I kept laughing and saying "come on and fight eachother...I wanna see this"...my mark never bothered to duel check me, so they start fighting, my mark was pummeling the Reb Jedi...until...underhand shot, adv. crit, incap, somehow he got up, adv. crit DB...
And the best part was, this guy is an uber-trash talking pvp-ganksquader...who had this coming after he triple incapped me in AH and sent me a TON of "I pwnd you noob..." tells. Needless to say, his corpse didn't get a bow.
So again, a little patience...alittlebit of shooting and a whole lot of dirty tactics pay off.
