Thread: Being a 1444 BH and the problems with droids
Erm...
Not sure why so many new players do this to themselves when every BH guide available tells them specifically not to train the first box of Investigation until they have 10k XP so they can train straight to 2.
Drop 1 and get 10k xp then train 1 and 2.
You will experience only pain and frustration trying to use the droids with only 1 skill.

Well, in my case, I don't read guides until I have to. I like to try the game and figure the stuff out on my own first. Then I'll ask a guildmate. Then I'll read the guides.

OK i get a mission right and give the bio sig to the droid it dissappears i wait maybe 5mins and it says target found on whatever planet so i got there and go to wp.Targets not there send a seeker out.Wait like another 5 mins and it says target found and updates wp. i start going but when i get like 500m away from wp it says target lost i go to wp and target not there.it keeps repeating this can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?????
First, as others stated train to 10K. However, if you must do it this way keep in mind your mark will try to go to the nearest Starport in most cases. Make a note of the original WP and then the new one after seeker updates. Then, go to his possible destination and try to meet him head on. When droid loses the target try launching another seeker right away. Also, do not forget that the marks will keep moving until you are within 500m or so.

Kinda like why when I buy a new game, I don't get the walkthrough book with it at the same time.
Yeah, I did the same thing you did. Here was how I overcame it.
First, when you go out and send off your arakyd droid, immediately head back to where your ship is parked and wait there until it tells you what planet your target is on. Immediately jump to that planet. As soon as you appear on that planet, release a seeker. The guy is most likely long gone from the original location. (some of these guys can really move!)
Look at your map and shuttle to the shuttleport that's closest to the waypoint, jump on your fastest vehicle and head towards it. As soon as you see that your waypoint has been updated it'll also most likely tell you that your droid has lost the target, so launch another one. I remember it taking me about 3 seekers to find the guy so don't go out without a bunch of them. (Especially because they might get eaten by a space slug or something.)
Don't forget to turn on your overhead map when you're approaching each waypoint. If the guy is gone, look for a single yellow triangle. Most creatures in the wild move in groups of 2+, so if you see a single one, go towards it and check it out. It could be your guy. I've found a couple of them this way.
Good luck!
