Thread: not sure i got the stomach for BHing...
You might not be cut out for it, and that's ok. It's ok in the same sense that not everyone could be a cop, because they might have to kill someone in the line of duty. Not everyone can be a doctor because they can't stand the sight of blood. Not everyone can be a schoolteacher because kids make their teeth itch.
Guilt is irrelevant. That player decided to become a Jedi knowing full well what could - and most definitely would at some point - happen, which is probably why you didn't get any hate tells.
Also, how did you set them back, really? So they have to re-grind some XP in an online game, big deal. It's not like you blew up their car or house IRL or anything like that.
Pixie sticks make my teeth itch.

Kill em all, let SOE sort em out...
Exactly. Every single jedi is now an enemy of...me. I no longer hold any sympathy for them. Any of them. They will all be dealt with. This Pub 20 debate has clearly drawn a line in the sand. The war is on.
Totally, but also having a Jedi that I'm grinding puts some perspective in for me. I've fought every BH that has come for me and I've won some and lost some, but in either case I enjoy the experience. It adds a whole new dimension to the game to have to be so paranoid, constantly watching my overhead, making sure I've got the necessary foods, stims, spices available just in case, not being able to go afk for a smoke/drink/bio break unless I go to a safe spot. I'm not one of those people trying to grind their template out in a week either so that's probably why the losses don't seem so detrimental.
As a BH I only hunt same faction (one things that really ticks me off as a Jedi) and as a full templated BH I only hunt 180k or higher marks (usually just 226k). I win more than I lose provided I avoid the ones I know have MDEF. I won't hunt low level marks unless there are no full temps online (rare) just because I'm not in this just to cause xp loss. I want to hunt Jedi because they pose a much greater challenge than any NPC (not to mention the NPC's are WAY too easy), the payouts are nice, and I get more PvP experience. Besides I know a lot of the finished temps are kinda disappointed that they rarely get BH visits because people prefer the fights they think they will always win.
My Jedi is only CL67 now, but even at CL54 I was taking out most of the BHs that came after me. The CM's give me a rough time, but I can usually outlast their mind bar.
I do feel kind of bad the few times I have to hunt low level marks, but they knew what they were getting into.
You keep telling yourself that and you'll have no problems.

i've had a rather rough entrance to BHing as im sure most people have...crappy rewards for easy NPC missions at master level....hunting a mark for an hour to have them log off when you get within 100m(twice), i even had a bugged NPC mission where i traveled all the way out to yavin4 to have the mob not spawn, or the wp bugged...either way, wasted trip...so today i decide to take a low level mark, to try and score my first jedi kill....i find out he's grinding on dantooine...so i head out there, stalk this guy to 3 different camps, then find him, he's 3 CL lower than me...so i assumed this would be a good fight. i cover, then sneak up within rifle range, pop aim, sniper shot, jump up blind shot, critical shot...dude drops....im like...wth, i DB him...and hop on my speeder and run off....no hate tells....his friends didn't try to help him...i ride off thinking...dude was just grinding exp...prolly a nice guy, and i just set him back quite a bit..would have been alot easier to take had he cussed me out or tried to get help from his friends...anyone else feel like this?
One thing to make yourself aware of. Yeah HE/SHE was prob a Nice person. But the one thing to say to your self ingame is IT'S ONLY BUSINESS. Out of game when your infront of the PC. Its Only a Game! And your a Part of this game.
