Thread: A couple of tricks i picked up

hey all
Not sure if anyone has mentioned these on the boards befor but i have picked up a couple of tricks i would like to share.
1) Ok the 1st one is for the droids, most of hate looking on the terms and getting a mark that is on line only to launch a inet planet droid into space to search planet by planet only to find out that they are on wook world. thus wasting a droid.
Well once you get your mark confirmed if you launch the small tracking droid that just searches the planet you are on. You will get one of two responces "You target is not located on this planet" if you get this launch the big droid and start your hunt. Or "due to the high life sighns on kash........" so either search all over kash for your target or get another mark.
So as we all know the smaller planet searching droids dont get used up when you use them to search thus saving you a bit of money and a lot of big inter planet searching droids.
2) Not really sure if i should put this one on as it can stop a jedi from attacking you during a fight.
Well i use to have crit shot set as my default attack next to startle shot, untill one day when my tool bar reset for some reasson.
So after 30 min of setting it all back up i went to set crit shot as my default but want paying attention and set startle shot (the weird purple icon) one as my default.
So did the usual find a mark online, he is on wook world so get another ect.
Finaly found on on dant so off i go. track him and just drove up to him at full speed out in the wilds as he was bol grinding. jumped off my speeder and let loose at him.
After 2 min of attacking i noticed he wasnt hitting back, then i get a tell saying "Exploiting"? any way i was not doing much dmg about 500-650. It was then that i spotted what i had set as my default. while in combat the jedi kept on sending me tells that he couldnt attack or use any force powers as he was paralysed and saying i was exploiting. so i hit him with a bleed shot and the occasional crit shot.
I never healed my self once and he died in about 10 min.
Greeat i thought but wanted to test this new thing out, so asked a jedi friend for some help (jest i have a jedi friend, made friend with him after i killed him)! so i get my fastest and lowest action costing lighting rifel so i can spam him with the shot. Low and behold it works. he cant attack or use any force powers at all. and he is now a little worried as he is a full template 226k jedi now.
So we test this out again on another jedi, this one used a duel ended saber ad the previous 2 used a single and a 2 handed saber. it worked on some ocassions against the duel ended saber but he incapped me eventually.
So with the right pup for low sac cost on my gun and a speed buff from a doc i can spam this shot onto the jedi and get some damage shots into them as well.

the startle thing is not new and is gonna be changed form what i hear. its a pretty lame tactic but so is 1.5

it only last about 3-5 seconds on mine and recharge rate is longer. do i need a faster weapon?

Wow what a shock. Another victory for the jedi. Now that rifles is getting it look out smugglers because your specials are next.(insert roll eyes)

i am MBH + MRM + 0-0-0-3 in pistoleer with some fs skills as well that i cant remember what they are called.
Where have soe said they are going to change startle shot?
oh and my heavey lighting cannon has a modified speed of 1.01 with a pup and 300dps 500min 860 max
not the best in the world but works well for this.

you do realize that this could be used to kill anyone and anything right? "another victory for the jedi".

yeah it could be but its better to use on a jedi and just set a macro running for it with auto follow on them and watch the hate tells flood in. lol
