Really I feel that only 1 BH should be able to have the mission at a time. If he fails then it pops again for someone else. Because I don't care how high a level of Jedi you are but if you have hundreds of BH coming for you 24/7 you will die eventually. I think it should be 1 on 1 just like the other BH missions.

The logoff & back on Exploit is being looked into by SOE as well as the Battlefield Exploit and the Rooftop un-attackable Jedi is now being called a Exploit and Devs are working ona fix for this

Pardon me while I hold my breath.....

I am so frik'in frustrated with the inability to play my MBH - every Jedi mission - and I mean EVERY jedi mission I have tried is the same thing - "your target is not online". I actually stopped playing the game last weekend, and probably won't bother for a while now.

Ok here is my rant on test center now.....

You put in changes that affect the 2 toughest professions to get - the only ones taht can't be grinded out in a couple hours and then say "ok guys, log on, spend a few weeks of consant play to gain the exp you need to test the patch and then test it and report back to us". These guys are retards to think that anyone would do it.

It took the UO team a couple years to realize that what they needed to do was build a system on the Test Centre that allowed people to just pick the skills they want to test stuff out, or at very least allow us to copy over our characters to Test. Hell I would play on TEST exclusively during BH testing IF and only IF I could copy my guy and his equipment over to do so. I have no plan on spending months building a character and the BH skills needed to hunt jedi on a second servers from scratch.

/rant off

I hope they do give this due consideration, and even more so would be aDev acknowledgement that there is a problem, but that is unlikely since they opened the boards to the public again - back to hiding thegame faults for them.

I like the idea of only 1-3 BHs have a jedi mission at any one time this would lessen the competition to get to your mark. However I have sucessfully hunted and located 5 jedi through the missions and only ever fought 1 (killed i might add hehe). The reason is every time i get to the jedi they are grouped with like 19 others and if you attack the jedi you group tef and your dead. following this logic it makes sence to let 10+ BH have the mission cause it will probably take 10+ BH to kill this target. Or if they make it a 1-3 BH limit per mission a marked jedi shouldnt be able to group or cause group tef.

I can see the descrepincies on both sides here:

For the BH: It really seems like afk macro'ing and jedi's in larger groups are the ones getting on the terminals, which is part of where most of your problems.

For the Jedi: They oppose most of the changes wanting to get around these because the majority don't group or afk, but they aren't the ones causing the BH problems.

Here's what I say...get rid of Jedi visibility altogether. It's useless. The area TEF works just fine, but sent benchmarks within the jedi profession, so when you train from 4/2/3/4 to 4/2/4/4 in innitiate for example, you get x number of BH missions sent out on you regardless. Group tef's will not apply, BH and Jedi not able to group during them, and remove the area TEF for the Jedi.

Force the content instead of putting up these obscure numbers up there. And make it so the jedi cannot advance until either they have died or the bounty has been lifted from all the BH's. Jedi have more freedom because they can group with friends and hunt without having worry of showing up on the terminals, but they know it will be their advancement that will put them on the terminals, not some invisible and arbitrary meter judging it.

well the reason i suggested 3 instead of only 1 bh having a jedi mission was because after spending some time thinking about it, i could see a jedi having a friend bh grabbing the mission and holding on to it just to make sure no one else grabs the jedi mission. And also while most bh's do work solo, i know there are some who gather a group or their guild to help them hunt down the mark, which considering most jedi have a group of body guards that would help that problem.

probably true, another solution would be that initiates are capped at 3 bh's having their missions at any given time, padawans are capped at 5, gaurdians capped at 8 (or perhaps no cap for these).

Any kind of Markcap will never go in. It is so exploiitable.

Why are BH's this naive? You guys come here and **edit** about all the Jedi exploits then want to add yet another scenario where Exploiting will be the norm.

Youwant a 1 to 3 cap on a Jedi mark you say.

Jedi will just get his friends to take up the missions and store em in their datapad for hours on end. Thus keeping him safe even more.

SOE can institute a time limit, but then the normal BH's who are really out to get a mark will soon come on the boards to cry because their mission Jedi TEFtimed out.

Scenario with timer. Non friendly BH to Jedi finds mark. Realizes he should get buffed. He runs to each of the two main cities of Theed or Coronet and notices there is no Doctors and/or one Doctor with a line of 10 people. He is going to waste close to 30 minutes or even close to a hour just due to travel and wait... just to get prepped.

Any Cap on Jedi marks is a terrible idea...Which then SOE will institute a timer due to the scenario above which will then result in even more BS for the BH's who are really out to target them.

On my server I always get the "your target is not online" message but they'reusually actually not online. Most of them log off before they get on the terminals. The ones that don't always log off within 5 minutes (my guess is that they have a friend that spots them on the terminals). I've only noticed one so far that logs on and off constantly and he wasn't on the terminals at the time so Idon't thinkhe was trying to exploit.

OK I know this is going to sound stupid and I am quite sure some (or many) will disagree but:

What if they changed jedi missions so that they appear on the terminal just like any other mission. The missions could have roughly the same payout as a normal BH mission and the mark's name would be randomly generated to prevent anyone from knowing it is a jedi. Let's face it, there are not really that many BH's who take jedi missions for the payout or the 3k inv. xp. I would venture to say that most take them because, deep down, they feel that it finally gives BH's a sense of utility in the game by hunting real marks and not just chasing some randomly generated artificial intelligence.

By revamping jedi missions so they blend in with other BH missions, it will give BH's a bit more excitement everytime they take a mission. Imagine taking a mission and not knowing if it will be a PC or NPC there to greet you in the end.

1) It would make it more difficult for jedi to know they are on the terminals. This will help BH's get around the target is not online issue because if the jedi does not know he is on the terminals, he or she will not be going into disconnect/reconnect mode. This also helps with the BH alt issue that some BH's have. A number of jedi have created BH alts to camp the terminals everytime they are out leveling their jedi. All they have to do right now is wait to see a 150k mission and bingo, they know its a jedi mission so they open it to make sure it is not them then go back to leveling. If the missions appeared like any other BH mission and had a randomly generated name, there would be almost no way of ever knowing that your jedi is now a mark.

2) It would end the clone camping and griefing of jedi. If the mission were treated similar to other BH missions then only one BH could take it at a time. The only difference being that if the BH failed, the mission would go back on the terminals for another BH to grab and the failing BH would be barred from taking it again for a given period of time. Failing also includes leaving the mission in your datapad for more than 48-72 hours (inserted for the rare occasion when a jedi's alt would get the mission and try to sit on it). With only one mission out on a jedi at any given time helps eliminate the potential for large groups of BH's and player's to camp cloners. In line with this, I believe that visibility should be lowered so there are far more jedi missions on the terminals. Speaking as a jedi, I can say I would not mind at all being hunted by a single BH. It would add so much excitement to the game. However, the current mob hunts and missions as they presently exist add little to no excitement and only encourage jedi to put their toon on a shelf for a while whicch leads to miserable BH's wondering why there are so few jedi missions (it's a vicious cycle)

3) it would resolve the 3 incap./dead but no mission complete bug. When you kill an NPC mark the mission automatically completes, no matter how the mark is killed. The same should apply to jedi missions. If you incap a jedi 3 times and he/she dies, then your mission is complete, the jedi's visibility is reset to 0 and no other jedi missions are placed on the terminals for that jedi until his/her visibility goes back up above the threshold.

Ok I am sure there are many more ways to expand on this. As I said earlier, it was just an idea I had as my alt. browsed the BH terminals this weekend.

And of course, then, when would the probe and seeker droids come into play? Have you even grined up the Investigation tree? Seriously?Or maybe you are suggesting to keep the secrecy one must throw up a Probe up even for Kreetle missions?

I am just glad you put this bright idea of yours on the top of your post so I didn't have to read the rest of it.

I've been doing jedi bounty missions and 95% of the time this is what i get, even though my buddy list says he is online. I know it must be hard on the jedi who have spent so much time (getting to jedi and then grinding through it), but this is extremely frustrating to us bounty hunters who have also put much time & effort into getting through the investigation line.
All my time & effort seems to have been for nothing because of this exploit. This needs to be addressed & fixed. I have noticed however more & more bh's, and the terminals being camped for jedi missions, and i see that it must be incredibly hard for jedi to do what they have to do when they are most likely getting hunted 24/7. So i propose a solution, instead of letting 10+ bh's get the same mark, have it so that the mission caps at 3 people at a time. No more than 3 people can have a mission for the same jedi at any given time. This will give the jedi some breathing time & give him more of a shot at surviving. less than 3 could make it likely for a jedi to have bh friends get the missions so that no one could attack him. Just an idea, but devs please fix this exploit.
