i heard a rumour that jedi cant block the HLR is this true? i doubt it but i cant test sicne my jedi and bh are on the same account

Haha, yeah if only that were the case... Nothing worse whenfighting a jedithan seeing-BLOCKED-when he's KD. How does that make even work?

I never quite understood how the heck TKAs can stand up to getting their skin burned off their bodies by blaster fire. I also never quite understood why there are so many Jedi during this time...

That's a seriously moot point. You cannot argue how people can stand up to Lightsabers when blasters should be one shotting people (heck, it only took what, 3 shots to kill the Jedi in AotC?). It's just the way the game works.
