Thread: You do it for the thrill right?
lets be honest if a bh hunted you and he went link dead would you wait for him to come back online or just kill him
you would kill him because he is trying to kill you
unfortunate you got caught LD its happened to me a few times but that the way the game is played people love a free ride and dont care who gets hit along the way
the only annoying thing is you dont know who killed you
You have been warned repeatedly that logging out in the wilderness is dangerous! You need to /sit and /logout to avoid this issue.
Please don't come to this board and stir up a hornets nest.

I do it for the thrill, but I think if someone as whiny as you fought me I wouldnt think twice shooting you down if you went LD.
Had you not posted this... It would depend on the situation.
- Ifwe were fighting and you went LD midfight I would finish it. Sucks to say, but you can thank the Jedi that pull their modems to avoid incaps. They exploit so it screws it up for others.
- If we didnt start yet then I would wait.
- If you ran from me previously and I caught you LD at the spaceport... you would die.
I imagine dancing around in our forum with a big sign that says "I'm a moron" is acceptible in your book.

See, the problem with saying it's for the thrill alone is that it completely ignores the payout. The problem with saying it's for the credits is that it completely ignores the thrill. It's a combination (and from my experience, the best part is the hunt, which is not the same as the fight.)
If you go LD, we can't assume you're coming back. If you go LD, we can only assume that you're going to be playing your alt for the three days it takes for us to lose your mission.

What difference does their motivation make to you? Accept the fact that they don't care and shut up. Seriously, what did you hope to accomplish with this post?
They don't care.
He never said he was logging and didnt sit and /logout,he said he was LD.
If he DID exit without /logout then no one to blame but himself.
Personally I won't kill someone LD unless its obvious they did it to avoid me.THEN i willl make it my goal to be sure they regret their cowardice.
Unfortunaley in this /bugfest it's easy to crash in which case a Jedi is screwed if a BH comes along.
I do it for the stalk, the kill and the money. The fightingcan befun, but the key thing about Bounty Hunters that a lot ofjedi seem to misunderstand is this:
We are paid to kill you.
Not to fight you. Not to duel you, or your pals who invariably come up to us screaming "Duel me **edit**!" after we administer the deathblow. I laugh in their faces and walk away. /addignore comes in so handy in those situations.
I like the slow stalk and the quick kill without any hesitation or remorse. And the paycheck, of course. Thats the icing on the cake.
As a roleplayer, I relish playing one of the scum of the universe; a sentient being who isso morally low that even Imperial Officers get the willies around me. Bounty hunterstrade insentient death,the flip sideofslavers, who trade in sentient life.
There's surer ways to make money, but most of us who are in for the long haul have had a taste for bloodand will go on being BH till the end. It's the hunt we like: the challenge of outwitting our mark, not necessarily outfighting them.
In short, if I've been following you around for 15 mins or so and you go LD or goAFK where you think you're safe, and I can get you, you're meat. If you're fighting a krayt/ low on force/ just cloned from PvP, I don't care. Your weakness =my opportunity.
That being said, I have been known to act honourably on occasion, but that is my choice, and should never be expected of me. If I'm in a good mood, I might wait for you to heal, if you ask nicely. If I know you as a non-whiner and generally cool jedi, and you're AFK or LD, I might leave you be. I stress the word "might" though. Never expect it from me, for you have no right to presume to dictate my behaviour.
The only line I draw is hunting Imperial Jedi. That is something I am loath to do. When there are no Rebel Jedi around, I'll stalk an Imperial to keep my edge sharp, but won't strike. In some cases, it would have been very easy, but I'm a loyal ex-soldier of the Emperor, and may yet re-enlist.
