Just checked....its viable., I guess if you added a couple of medic skills to it it'd be pretty good....what, you going for the Han/Boba cross-breed

Hadn't thought of that, was thinking more of an 'underworld' character.
Plus I'm not interested in simple 'uber' or FOTM templates, just to win against Jedi, I want to have a bit of fun while I'm doing it. Used to have Rifles 4400 so I could stalk more effectively but it broke so easily in places like Dant it was basically a waste of SP.
I've played this template, was master smuggler and went BHto stock up onslice loot. I worked up the invest tree ok, was able to take down npc marks, and I used this temp to do a lot of the quests. I think the template may be underpowered for PvP. You get Overwhelming shot, which reduces yourtarget's ability toresist states, so that works nicely with confusion shot / eye shot and itshould stick a lot more often.The Smuggler root/snare typeshots, Concussion and Panic, break on damage though it does give you a window to heal / rebuff etc, and if you are facing multiple mobs, confusion willstop themattacking you so you can concentrate on taking one down at a time.Last Ditch is a very powerful shot if you can time it right.

Don't expect to beat a lot of jedi with that template... I used to be MBH / Smuggler and I did fine in PvE most of the time, but I just didn't have enough healing to do good in PvP.
Then Pub 24 came, and I felt weak all over again even in PvE. Smuggler is just weak, as much as I hate to admit it. I don't see how they can justify calling it a combatprofessionlooking at the weak defense you get out of it. Feels more like a crafting profession with a couple mezz shots.... so I'm turning my smuggler into an armorsmith... then maybe I'll try to unlock toon slot #2 and grind a real combat toon.

I think I might just go back to the MBH.MPist temp I used to have, maybe with 4xxx in the smuggler for last ditch.
What I'd really like to see is the removal of the master prof box, perhaps with a corresponding increase in the xp needed to get each box in a tree. Allow for truly diverse templates and unique characterisation.
