I am sick to death of the excuses we are being fed about bounty hunter npc marks spawning in trees, in rocks, in houses, over water, etcetera.
I have submitted tickets, I have filled out bug reports, and I have gotten answers ranging from the usual macro key answer of "this is a known issue and we are working to correct it" to the utterly f*cking absurd "try using a mount next time"
If this is a known issue, and if you are indeed working on it (I'll believe that when I see it), when is it going to be fixed? I don't want to hear some lame "soon" answer. Give me a timetable. The gamers are paying their hard earned real world money on this game and we deserve a straight answer.
I can't imagine how much time I've wasted chasing after marks that are in positions that make completing the contract impossible, or how many credits, or how many xp I've missed out on because of this ridiculous situation.
Mind you, these missions aren't hard or difficult or anything, they are IMPOSSIBLE. Either we can't see the mark because it spawns inside of something, or we get a mission incomplete message when the tracking droid finds that the mark has taken this opportunity to go swimming.
This needs to be addressed, and a timetable needs to be given for completion.
While you're at it, how about changing something relating to boss level marks. The amount of money is the same for these uber marks as for regular ones. This needs changed. Either increase the f*ck out of the credits for the mark to reflect how hard these missions are to complete, or find a way to differentiate the elite marks from the regular marks on the terminals.
I really wanted this to be a nice, happy post. I'm sorry, but I'm not feeling in a very nice mood right now. You guys put out expansion packs to rake in more of our money, how about fixing what's broken in the game we already have first, huh?
Who am I kidding, though. From what I've seen, things will never change for the better around here. The devs aren't going to read this. Oh well, if I'm going to waste all the time and credits on chasing f*cking impossible to complete missions, I may as well waste more of my time writing a post that nobody at soe will read. This thread will probably end up locked and deleted, that seems to be standard operating procedure here, but at least I got it off my chest.
Thank you to all the players that read this.
I'll thank the devs if they actually read this and make some sort of response other than "you don't tell us how much you love us so this thread is locked".
Fix the game. I wouldn't be complaining this much if I didn't, for whatever reason there may be, like this game.
Tell us you are working on this, show us that you actually give a sh*t about SWG for something other than a paycheck.

lol if you are this mad now, you should have been around when your marks would not spawn at all and you had to run across the whole planet on foot before vehicles.
BTW, if you have a mark in a tree or rock, drop a tent.

There is a nice little note in the stickies about working around marks over water and I've only had maybe two "mission incomplete" missions since I started following that advice. You get the mission incomplete message when your mark is less than 400 meters away and is more than 100 meters or so from land (call it 60 just to be safe.) Set your radar at 512 and keep a close eye on it. If it looks like he's more than 60 meters or so from land, hang out until your seeker stops sending back waypoints and send another one--it works for me every single time. Not that that fixes the problem, but it would at least make it so you don't end up wasting your time, losing out on credits, losing out on XP, and writing posts that the devs will in all probability never even see.

You already get an increased chance at getting some good loot when you pull a boss. The drop rate might not be as high as some people would like, but I made 8 million credits off of my last decent boss loot drop. That's the equivalent of about 270 mission payouts. The drop rate for great loot is maybe 1 in 30, but it really adds up. If you want to depend solely on mission payouts, stick to faction missions.

Well, there is already a message posted somewhere that says devs usually won'tread anything where the subject line is "Devs please read."

The devs don't lock and delete threads. The moderators do. If it is locked and deleted, it will probably be for bypassing the profanity filter.
