I didn't find this in the patch notes, but it appears that they've reduced payouts for full template Jedi. I killed a Jedi this morning. He was a full template and nearly killed me. After I killed him I got the message: "The Bounty Hunter guild has reduced your mission amount for eliminating a trivial target." (Link to screenshot), and only got paid 25000 credits. Afterwards the Jedi told me he only lost 50k Jedi XP too.
I just gotta say, What's up with that? Whose bone-headed idea was it to reduce payouts on the hardest Jedi kills? Can anyone tell me about this change? I didn't even know about it. I feel ripped off. I don't mind them nerfing payouts on low level Jedi, but to reduce the pay on full templates is just stupid.
Can our corresponant verify this change? Or is this a bug? I sure hope this is a bug. But if it was a bug, why the new "trivial" system message?

I really hope this isn't an intended design change, because that would really blow.

There was something once floating around about having to kill them within a certain time limit or the payout would be decreased. How long did it take you to kill him? Not sure if this has anything to do with it or not though.

Forgot to mention that I had killed 3 Jedi within an hour. This "trivial" one was the third. The previous two had what appeared to be "normal" payouts: one was 219k, the other 213k. Could this be because I killed 3 Jedi in an hour?

It was like a 5 minute fight.

It might be because the Jedi has died so many times in X amount of time that you only get 25000 credits reguardless of being fully templated. Wasn't this how it was before the change to 1vs1 was implemented so to prevent BH/Jedi getting together to farm credits?

Was their CL lower than yours?
I didn't check his level, but I assume he was 80 because he told me he was full template and I probably would've noticed if his "level circle" thing wasn't white.

A jedi that has died within a specific time period (patch notes claimed 3 days, but I'll eat my scatter if it lasts that long) gives areduced payout. All non-knights, regardless of level, are reduced toa flat 25K, and all knight to a flat 50K. There are no knights now, ergo, it's all 25K. Since exp loss has always been based of 2x the payout, the exp loss is adjusted accordingly.
Working as intended, and has been doing so ever since they starting paying us in accordance to the skill of the jedi. Well, the 25K thing works a bit sketchily, but it's been there all the time.

Is this a cumulative reduction? I remember killing an AFK Rryatt Trail Jedi twice in an hour and the payout wasn't significantly reduced from the first.

No, it just doesn't work a lot of the time. Sometimes the payout is reduced correctly, sometime it isn't reduced at all, sometimes it's reduced for 24 hours before it goes back up (despite SOE calling it 3 days) and so on and so forth.

Oh, and thanks for the feedback. I've been hunting Jedi for the longest time and have never received this "trivial" message. I was ready to throw my monitor out the window when I thought it was a nerf. LOL.

A most common alignment among AFK Ryyyat grinders.

I'd have to assume that this guy you killed died to a BH, and then immediately got visibility again.
