Thread: KD BUG is this anyone elses nemesis??

we know this is an issue... and we are currently working on it...
Translation: we cannot figure out why this is happening

Its called game mechanics. The combat que is only 2 commands now. If your thumping spcials and the que is full And you get knocked on your backside, the system will try and execute the commands in que first. Ever notice the large outline around the hotkey when a command is in que but your KDed? You must hit esc once or twice then use KD recovery. It might be possible to set this up in a special KD macro. I use a similar one with *coughs* cloak to clear the target first then cloak. Works like a champ
I had thought of this. You know how sometimes you can't mount your speeder when you pull it out? It's because you have burstrun cue'd. If you click any other attack spell in your toolbaryou'll uncue it and you can mount your speeder again. I was thinking of how this appliedto the KD bug as far as how to work around it and the first chance i had i tried to get it to uncue....it doesn't uncue. I'm just letting you know that i already kinda knew what was going on but,i still couldn't get it to "work". I'll try it again when i get home, extensively.

Same here my jedi almost never gets kd bugged but then again my combat speed is faster and the cooldowns go away faster oh and i can heal on my back so getting up isnt such a panic but my rifleman hits the ground and stays there this has improved with last patch they changed my graphics settings wich makes me think the change something about the graphics i reduced every thing back to low and game seems to run pretty smooth but kd bug still happens here is my thoughts to help other not have this happen
-Let cool down timerscool down before hitting KD Recovery
-DO NOT spam KD recovery
-if you are running and get the slide bug on your screen you are still up and running just before you fall KD recover *
(*this only works if you have let cooldowns cooldown)
-I turn off music and turn graphics as low as I can thats helps over all performance
-Esc button before using KD recovery I only do this if I was using alot of buttons before kd

Not a hybrid, full temp jedi just trying to help other players. I think i've only had this happen to me once or twice long ago. Since then I dont spam specials. When I get KDed, which is often, I never have this happen to me. It happens to quite a few peeps in my PA, but the commonality is they are MLS and we all know they love to thump the specials
If you type /dump or better yet create a macro that adds knockdown recovery after the /dump command it works almost all the time
It lets you recover just fine I have now used it 13 times without fail
