Thread: Question about jedi payouts

It was my understanding that jedi payouts would change when their names were removed from the terminals. There would be a base payout and a bonus would then be added based on the jedi's template and time that the jedi has managed to survive without a bh death. Now I'm not completely sure on the details of this but I was under the impression that the 230K for a full template, or thereabouts, would not be the highest payout because of the survival factor. Can anyone clarify this for me and please post if you have received more than that as a payout since the names were taken off the terms.

No, the payouts changed to make the system more random. The old system created a higher instance of BH's pulling lower level Jedi on purpose which in essence was not "fair" for the lower level Jedi.

Under the new system, all marks are the sytem general price, thus evening out the mix of full template to lower level Jedi missions being pulled through the law of averages. The new system still pays out what the intended old bounty has.

A full template Jedi on the terminal for 52,000 will be paid as a 52,000 mission complete fee + a 173,000 bonus to equal 225,000

A middle template Jedi will for 52,000 will be paid as 52,000 mission complete fee + about 98,000 bonus to equal 150,000

And so on, down to a new padawn only worth 52,000 in the old system.

I've seen no information about Jedi missions paying higher than the original 225k based on their ability to kill multiple Bounty Hunters. That would be a great thing though. If a is fulltemplate and kills 10 BHs, he would be worth increasingly more with each kill, say 10%

So a 225,000 jedi would be worth 225,000 + the 10 BH 10% additions = 583,592, etc on down the line of bounty hutners, adding 10% to each value until someone kills him. A nice idea!

Upfront I can tell you that the Jedi community will not probably care about this, since the money earned from a BH in no way affects their game play, on the experience debt does. But some BH's may see this and call for an increase in Jedi experience debt with each successive kill. So if the same Jedi who would normally lose say 300,000 xp for a death, and by increasing that 5% for each BH kill would lose 488,688 for the 10th kill, in which the BH would have received 583,592 credits. That's a bad incentive for jedi to fight....

Well what I was refering to was in the Pub 20 notes which I'm posting here:

Profession: Bounty Hunter

  • NPC Bounty missions will now work properly. The Mark will be of appropriate difficulty based on the difficulty of the mission
  • Moved Player Bounty Hunting to the Master Bounty Hunter skill Box
  • Jedi missions are only created for online Jedi, the Jedi may go offline after the mission is created
  • Jedi missions display Faction instead of Jedi name
  • Jedi missions all display a payout of a random number between 45000 - 52000 credits on the terminal but may pay a bonus amount based on level and time since the Jedi was last killed
  • Seeker droids will now return the name of the Target
  • Changed the name of the "imperial probot base" Bounty Hunter droid to "Imperial probot"

See it was in the notes, so I'm not completely bonkers lol, though I had my own doubts. Thing is that I've never seen or heard of this actually playing out and I was wondering if anyone else had?
