Thread: observations since pub 24 after 15 missions

hi guys

i know we've all had it in one way or another with pub24, but i want to share what i've done and found.


first, ive run 15 missions, and i completed all of them without incap or death. had a few close calls, but thats it. These fights are LONG and tedious and you need to use all of your strengths and all of their weaknesses(and hope for a little luck in the hit/miss department)


i havent noticed any difference if i am buffed or not, im sure it will help if i come across a mark that poisons or adds states(if they dont exist im sure they will soon:smileytongue


i do use food always, blob candy first while on the way to the mark so my tummy clears out for the remaining food, then i use crispic, pikatta, vercupti and thundercloud - with a breath of heaven waiting on the toolbar in case of emergency(had to use that towards the end of 2 fights)


i like the combat, i like the "skill" required now... its not just sit and shoot then loot. What i do not like is the loot issue, i understand loot is random, i have NO problem with that, but as its been stated many times it should be a REWARD when you kill a lvl 82 double chev 34k elite boss...


breakdown of marks and loot

6 lvl 81

the best loot i got was off the regular lvl 82 guys.

3 CA's and 2 BH schems, 2 of them dropped a CA and schem.

the CA's were nothing to scream about, nothing to get rich over - which was kind of a bummer.


total i recieved 7 schematics, 3 CAs, 11 icb, 11 mando frames, 4 dta, 7 reactives... i only seem to jet bugs adn hats off of the double chevrons, lvl 81 and 82. so lots of similar loot before the patch - so i really cant complain there, my only wish is that it was more balanced... 10-15 minute fights with a boss who kicks your ass and destroys your armor and weapon - a warm hat isnt a very good reward


the last thing i want to comment on is health regen...mine, not theirs. my food buffs dont seem to regen my health like they did pre patch. action is being noticeably regenerated, but health isnt, and as a matter of fact it takes quite a bit of time to regen once the fight is over. maybe imwrong on this one, butperhaps my buffs arent stacking correctly... they all show up under my name, but maybe something is wrong. anyone else notice this?


all in all, im happy with the patch, and it is probably the most fun PvE has ever been

after running a few boss marks i thought about trying out other high level Mobs. PvE is a lot funner now than it was even more so than Pre-CU. heres a small clip of me getting Killed in under 30 secs


now if they could up the loot drop rate a bit more to match the time and skill required to kill them this would be a lot funner.

My action seems to drop a lot faster than it used to. Health seems fine, but my action pool is really different.


For example, when I fight a non-boss, i use a macro to alternate shots (advanced crit, ranged attack and improved legshot). I use this after I DoT them with my CM dots. Last night, with a full set of Doctor buffs and blob candy, I had to take a booster blue. Previously, I have not had to take a booster blue under these same situations.

i'll try some alternatives in fighting this weekend, and also fighting without food buffs, and see if i notice anything with either action or health regen issues.
