Editted to include round 2...
Me: 4040 jedi healer, 0004 enh, 4000 def, Master BH.
The mob: 33k ham.
I did approx 50,000 points of damage before being killed, my mind was gone by that time. I died slightly prematurely however.
The mobs health never got below 27k. The mob regen'd roughly 44k of damage during the fight.
I took blob candy, spiced tea, crispic, booster blue, pikatta pie and had a pup on my gun which was 0.87 speed, 370-940dmg, 92sac.
I agree I should have to take food to fight mobs like this. I agree I should have been near out of Force/mind/action by the end of the battle.
I disagree that this fight was alost cause from the beginning.
Mob defense and regen is not the answer to balance - balance should be in the potential to do unexpected extra damage - an 800 pt hit at the wrong moment could end the fight, but not gaurantee my death.
I like the extra damage, and the mob abilities. The inclusion of more regen was unnecessary.

Round 2: Revenge of the Droidz
I shudder to think the total damage I did but I pulled my combat droid which hit the mark for 61pts of damageevery second until its mind was gone, then less often. I called it off eventually and its mind regen'd rapidly and I stuck it back on the boss. That was enough to counter alot of the regen. I also ran my duelist stance macro this time, using it continuously instead of intermittently.
The fight lasted 16 minutes. There were a few occasions whereI was low on health andwatching my mind bardrop as a percentage in relation to the mobs health was somewhat nail-biting, but overall the experience was not entirely fun. I looted a delicate trigger assembly.

you should really adjust that build of yours.
your defender line is pretty useless try 0040 for an axtra 500 def instead of the 250 your gettin from bh. the sap line from healer is only slightly helpful (at best) against other players but completely useless in pve. And of all the lines you have to choose from in enhancer I suggest that for your build. 0004 is probably the worst choice. that meditate doesnt help you at all during a fight. 4xxx will give you a very nice speed buff, a very nice snare (that doesnt break on damage) and FR2 for an escape if you need it. x4xx will give you a very nice armor buff (enough to mitigate close to half of your damage intake not counting your normal non-jedi armor) and even xx4x would be more beneficial with the state resists now that mobs throw states like snowballs.
just a suggestion. I think a bh/jedi build is pretty cool but if your gonna do it you may want to look more into what skills can actually help you win a fight.

Heh, if you'd read the other posts, you'd know that a lot of these gold marks aren't the same. I've killed some that were easy, some that were hard. The hard ones really aren't worth the trouble because the payment and drop rate isn't any better.

No, I don't wear armour.
My template made more sense before they slowed jeid healing down. Sap is useful vs other bounty hunters, but now I can no longer trigger it while holding a weapon. 0004 enh was originally aimed at stopping jedi that ran away - this was common as I could tank but not kill before the aforementioned Jedi heal changes. With Duelist running my Melee Def is nearly 500 - due to diminishing returns I'm not clear just how much advantage Aura will bring, especially if I give up the 40% resists from the 4000 line of defender. On top of this, untraining 4000 will cost me 90 melee defense, and gain me 35, so I will reshuffle my template to gain of195 extra defense, lose 40% armour resistance and gain a single skill.
Healing is a huge drain on the Force bar in a BH fight. Using Force Armour will probably prematurely kill me. At least atm I can last awhile before losing

PS I won round 2.

I realise at this point in time that as far being a jedi hunter goes there are better versions of my template. I'm still very robust in PvE, excepting fighting Metal Krayts (formerly known as SBD's). But I don't hunt Jedi anymore. It's pointless. And I'm very reluctant to drop Jedi skills as I'm quite a bit in the hole at this point.

I don't get it.
All my boss marks are easy. Gold/White whatever, easy. Sure they root and snare but after tracking them down I'm not going to be leaving....
All this talk about how our marks are tough as hell now. I just don't see it.

You do realize, of course, that melee defense is currently your defense while you hold a melee weapon, not your defense against melee weapons, right?

Then you haven't hit a BOSS mark yet. Sure, I've spawned boss marks since the patch that were easy, 2 minutes tops fights. Then came the BOSS. This guy hit harder than a Jedi if you ask me, weilding a power hammer and couldn't be snared. I basicly had to tank him, lure him to a lair, and stay alive while the critters did the dirty work. You can kill them if you treat them sort of like a player jedi in the way you prepare, but it's not worth it at all. 10k condition loss to head, chest, pants, 4k condition lost on the rest, all for an Illegal Core Booster.

I've heard this said recently. It's apparently a bug.
