Just checking to see how many would recomend using the 10+ or +5 ranged arms going up against Jedi while using Rifles. Is it worth it, etc.?

Also how effective is the CriticalSnipe in doing a ranged DB?

i think so, but the only draw back is you gotta look like you were in an accident until you have them taken off, but its really easy becuase nothing can hit you from 75 or 85 meters away.

i had a ranged arm for a while, to be honest the critical snipe never worked for me...don't know why maybe i was using it wrong.

I had heard it was bugged but recently fixed so wasnt sure if anyone had any data on this and how it works, etc. I wasnt sure if it had a DB timer just like a regular DB or not.

eh im talking about like 3 weeks ago...i'd try it when they were incapped it'd say you can't do this, so i tried it when they weren't and it did 96 damage...so i figured it was a useless cybernetic skill

Well to prevent them from taking dmg I could just stick my anti-decay kit on it. I miss the days when I could range DB someone or when DB didnt have a timer for that matter. Im hoping the ranged DB on these arms actually works.

the adk on an arm would definitely protect the arm, but with the ability to target the arms you get a big armor hole that will suck the health out of you with a few lucky location rolls.

I don't think it's worth the armor hole and only useful for a riflemen who can take out his target before they reach you. If the jedi is powerful enough they will reach you if they really want to unless you flat out run away.

I guess it wont hurt to try it out. I will buy one and see what happens. i guess if it works out great then I will apply the adk at that point.

As a jedi, yes the extra range is a definate disadvantage for Jedi. However as my last 3 callers will tell you, once you take range out of the equation and make the muggle BH's fight you in closer quarters ( terrain, buildings, even faction base hallways) the BH is in alot of trouble.

You can bet if i get a chance to get to the trenches or a faction base, i'm headed in quick. And most BH dont have the guts to come at a jedi unless they can do it from range. Which is prolly a good tactical advantage. But dont whine to me if i move to more favorable environment so as to avoid just HAnding a chain rooter my hard earned XP.

And another thing, if i have a chance to bail, you can bet i will. nothing says i have to stay and fight if i can evade. at least until a BH has as much to lose as i do. Be seeing you. Well,, LOL, maybe not as much come tomorrow dang bottom feeders will have to earn their keep now HA.... HA!

I always chase the Jedi I am after if they run but it would be nice to be able to get 1-2 more shots in before they get out of range. It sounds though that they are pretty effective. I guess I will have to invest in one soon. I am seeing them for about 1M or so on my server.

The ranged arms would probably be worthwhile for a crabineer or rifleman build. I can't see them being that useful for a pistoleer. The extra 15 meters from stacking both arms probably wouldnt make a lot of difference for a pistoleer unless he/she was very proficient in the art of kiting already.

I'm not in game at the moment but the lowered ac of the arms + the fact that Some jedi have the avility to target the body/arms would make them a big liability against certain Jedi if they close to melee range.
