Thread: New MBH, Two Rifles, One ADK, and an Epic Battle to the death...

Just hit masterbh today, sold some tapes and saw a nice trando rifle for sale with an adk (the only downer to the rifle is the SAC). Before this I bought a heavy lightining rifle that I had my heart set on using when I was master. I don't wanna ADK them both. I want the one that will have the highest dmg output with the ADK for killing jedi or anything else that stands in my way. Here are the stats on the two unsliced and unPUPed.
Rifle One:
Trandoshen Rifle
Damage 495-1132
Base Speed 2.63
Wound 31.01%
EDPS 308.88
SAC 93 (pretty bad I know)
Rifle Two:
Heavy Lightning Rifle
Damage 466-1090
Elemental DMG 40
Base Speed 2.75
Wound 33.35%
EDPS 297.9
SAC 82
I always read don't rely on DPS. I hear wound factors in yadda yadda. Please help me with my decision

i'd take the second one, speed slice it, dmg pup it, adk it , and call it a day

I'm not MBH, but I'd say take the Trandoshan. Slice it for speed and some damage, and put a SAC pup on it.

Um...Sell the Trandoshan way overpriced to someone on the Trade boards as well as the HLR.
Then, take the money and have someone special make you a new HLR that has the max damage of 1142 or whatever it is as well as slice it for critical shot/speed and SAC pup it. Then ADK that one.
Sorry to make it complicated, but there are better HLR's out there.

I agree with the above poster. That rifle is very similiar to mineonly with a slower speed. Speed PuP it and it will be awesome.

Take the first rifle, and speed slice it. Getcrates of 30% sac reducing pups, and adk it. WIth 30% sac reduction, can get in the mid low 60's.

Rifle number 2 is the better weapon, and here's why...
First and foremost, DPS is worthless when trying to guage the quality of a weapon.
The HLR is on a par (damage wise) with the ALR, once you factor in the elemental damage. The speed is only marginally worse on rifle 2 than rifle 1. Personally I would get a lvl 2 damage slice on the HLR to (slicing) cap it. The rest of the customisation can go towards speed.
Depending on what CA/AA's you have, I'd then put either a speed or damage p'up on it, and youre good to go.

always always ALWAYS go for low SAC. No point having a lot of damage if you can't fire the gun.

Yeah SAC on the trando is too high even with a SAC pup on it you lose by having to make up for something (ie SAC). And the HLR is average I guess but like this poster said sell the trando and get someone to make you a sweet damage capped one for 3-5mil depedning on your server. Then once you get that damage and maybe SAC capped rifle slice it up and pup it and you will be ready to go.
Sac will make a huge difference as you will see.. ..
